R regularly and has the ability to put games on deep discounts and generate huge sales numbers just by talking about them. He was awestruck when he got Mechanicus 1000 extra positive reviews in like 2 days just by asking people to give it good reviews in his video.

As mentioned it was big on 4chan when he was big on browsing 4chan. There has actually been a rise on leftoids encroaching on it, not in any serious way but it's really annoying. Look up Sigmarxism on Reddit (Don't) A self-proclaimed "Hub for leftist fans of Warhammer. We're reclaiming our beloved hobby from chuds, one thin coat at a time." So on a meta level you can take your revolutionary larp to the next level and fight against the big bad rightoids ruining Warhammy. It also never really grew out of its old cool 14 year old boy appeal, despite the increased costs. So a lot of fans are young people who don't really model and don't really read either. Which is why a lot of the online 40k community doesn't matter as much because they're not really involved in the hobby. When it comes to the lore these people appreciate for its supposed political commentary about Fascism being dysfunctional and not working. With the Imperium being a shithole and all. I really doubt this is why Mandalore still likes 40K. But, there's real precedent for leftoid slacktivists being drawn to dystopian hellhole settings because it purposefully or not validates their politics. Hell, you can go scroll through all the highlights of the HOI 4 Community Watch Thread to see another example too.
