So I haven't watched a Vinesauce stream properly since about 2015 (when it was truly based), just highlights. A brief skimming of the thread is telling me that there a growing wokeoid infestation in the community there. Anyone got a tl;dr for me?

Haven't watch that long, but most of the woke spergery comes from mods, charity org and KY, Vin and Joel still kept their word on having the stream be politics free, the best recommendation i could give you is watch their streams with the chat turned off

Community starts off on /v/, vinny is generally not tolerant of aberrant behavior and attention horsing. Community has a cancerous lump known as furrydom that continues to grow. Vinny mellowing out and platforms restricting what you can say combine together to make it very difficult to remove undesirables from community. Undesirables like furries, weeaboos, fujoshis, etc., all of whom have nothing in common with a 35 year old man who likes classic rock and some good old fashioned Nintendo, have become embedded in community because vinny can no longer even hope to speak out against them, except for the occasional snide remark. This is a basic sparknotes retelling. Yes I know I fucked up the reply and I blame null
