I have nothing against Ross, i don't watch his content, but his history seems to paint a very sad guy, like the kind of nerd that got shoved on the locker daily on high school, but once he got out of high school not much changed unfortunately

Meh ross is the coolest of the grump-adjacentsphere, I don't personally enjoy his content, but sometimes people just get along with certain personality types, even if they say gay shit on twitter. Honestly I don't think vin reads twitter based on his barely touched account and I assume ross doesn't talk about that dumb shit in private and just acts normal, like most twitter spergs who arnt completely brainmelted yet.

Pretty sure Vin has made it clear he's been staying as far away from twitter as possible for a while now, relying mostly on his mods and personal friends to update him on whatever might be relevant, and honestly at this point that's the best course of action
 
Ross seems like a genuinely nice dude; so much so I'd actually argue that it's his biggest flaw. Vinny is experienced enough to block out most of the noise (outside of a few passive aggressive comments here and there) and it's served him well. He realizes an important truth: never apologize or give in to these people, because all you're doing is digging your own grave. You can't please everyone, and it's a fool's errand to do so.

I agree with some of the above posters, I think ross generally speaking is just a nice dude who loves what he does and doesn't like being involved in drama. He still makes art and animation pretty often and will stream it.

Also FWIW, he actually left Holly and seemingly stopped interacting with Jared after they got outed, so he clearly has some respect for himself, which I respect. He and his current girlfriend, Giwi, seem to have a happy and healthy relationship too

That's not really too bad. He's telling other people to suck it up if they can't deal with his sense of humor. I'd imagine Vinny would do something similar if he grew up in California like Ross did. It's not like he's saying "I'm sorry" like he's actually sorry. To me, this looks more like he's just trying to be courteous to his audience of Twitchtards. He's not gonna be attempting to change the type of jokes he makes because he had to clear this up for his audience.

Dunno if I'm just totally out of the loop but I just realised I'm still following GeePM despite not having watched him since he was kicked out of Vinesauce and apparently now he's a furry vtuber

Him being a vtuber is new. Him being a furry, not so much.

I don't dislike furries as I find they're generally harmless, but there is something very disconcerting about GPM suddenly making the switch to vtuber and using his fursona for it. What do you think caused the rebrand?

Looking back, this is making me wonder just how many /v/ furries were in the Vinesauce community that weren't outspoken. So many Vinesauce-adjacent people ended up being furries, like GPM, Dem, Vappy, Norix... and more still that I can't think of right now. Who knows how many more there were that we just didn't hear about?
 
How does a non-furry streamer who doesn't stream furry games (outside of like the 2 Animal Crossing games he's streamed) attract such a large furry fanbase? Absolutely blows my fucking mind. It would be like if a Titty streamer attractive a lot of super hardcore conservative Christian viewers that don't watch porn or believe in extramarital sex because they saw the Twitch thot was wearing a cross necklace once or something.
 
Poor vin. I've been a watcher since like 2012 and the fan base has only steadily gotten more abhorrent over time.
