IIRC Vinny got cheated on and it burned him really, really bad, but that was 10+ years ago.

I actually agree with most of your post, but I have to harp on this point; Vinny wasn't the one who got cheated on, Vinny WAS the cheater. Specifically, he was knowingly hooking up with his best friend (probably Mike)'s girlfriend and got his heart broken by her because she wouldn't leave Mike for him, so she was stringing them both along. They've obviously never addressed this directly, but I do recall Mike and/or Vinny stating at one point that there was a bit of bad blood in their past that they've since moved past. This also happened in 2004, so it's actually closer to 20 years than 10 years ago. Here's the archive if you've not seen it before. (Side note, but seeing 19 year old Vinny get his shit kicked in by bunch of random forum posters for claiming to respect his friend while also calling him "dumb" and sleeping with his girlfriend brings me endless delight.)

Does anyone have an archive of the video where Vinny was playing some weird burger or pizza game and there's some guy named niggernuts in the game?

Sadly, unless someone has it archived, it looks like the video was found and taken down. I know there are some mods lurking in this thread, so it's an easy bet to guess how that happened.

I can't remember what game it was unfortunately, but I remember the stream was from around 2014 and the game looked "stylistically" low-poly.

If it was indeed Mike's girlfriend that Vinny cheated with, that would also explain why Vinny has such a high tolerance for Mike despite the political sperging and troonery.

But you see, popular thing bad. A lot of streamers are opening cards now, thus opening cards is popular, thus opening cards is bad.
I think this is kinda true, though. Aren't there a few videos out there that explain how the Pokémon card hobby get messed up because content creators suddenly started flooding into it? I don't really care about the specifics but there is a reason why content creators making videos about opening cards is bad.

I usually just lurk in this thread, but here's the video, I downloaded it a while back because I knew there was no way it wasn't going to get memoryholed eventually.

The gamer word gets dropped around 5:20.

I thought we determined that archive of Vinny from years ago wasn't him or am I just remembering it wrong? If you look at the archive, the location also says originally New York but moved to south Texas and I'm 99.9% he never lived outside of Staten Island.

He has indeed never moved out of Staten Island; he lied on the account, probably to prevent anyone he knew from potentially finding it. He did make his username a combination of his name, his city, and his birthday, after all. Here's a link to that same thread on the (somehow not defunct) website proper; it was indeed originally posted in 2004, and there are multiple replies from other people that are (or were) obviously active users, whereas the Vinny account is clearly a throwaway that was made specifically to ask this one question. Essentially, there's zero chance of someone having falsified this.

I forget the reasoning behind the Texas claim, but it might've been because he'd either just visited that area or he was friends with someone who lived there. I do so appreciate the half-assed attempt at disguising his identity after he literally made the account his name and birthday. But this was also 6 or so years before he started streaming, so I'm sure he wasn't anticipating that he'd get busted years down the line for a post he made when he was 19. The internet truly is forever.

Gotcha, okay. That makes sense. Thank you for clearing it up for me!

Any possibility that's where he went to college? Timing lines up and I can distantly remember him saying he's been to Texas before (never stated the reason).

There's a slim possibility, but probably not. To my understanding, Vinny has never lived anywhere but NYC, and I would assume that means he didn't go to school outside of the state either, since he probably would've mentioned that as an exception. So most likely the Texas bit is just complete falsehood, or perhaps he was IN Texas when he posted it; it was July, so he wouldn't have had classes and could've been on vacation.

I'm pretty sure Vin has said he's never been to Texas

He's mentioned on stream before that he's visited friends in Texas over the years, and I could imagine he put his location as Texas to make him unsuspecting to his friends or whoever else he knew from finding that post. I don't know how popular those forums were back then, but it's not uncommon to use a different location than your actual one online. I remember the "stranger danger" internet culture of the late 90's and early 00's harping on never sharing anything real online... and look where we are now, ha.

IIRC on a Reddit Q&A back in 2014-2016, he mentioned the college he attended was on Staten Island and that it was a private Catholic college. I'll leave you all to Google the rest.

As far as whether that forum post is real or not:
  1. It reeks of young pretentiousness that Vinny absolutely had (and still kind of has now) back when he was first streaming. "I think on a slightly higher level than most" and "I'm more than reasonably intelligent" is totally something he'd be caught saying back in the early early days of the stream, especially during the older music discussions and campfire story nights.
  2. The post makes a reference to a Pink Floyd laser light show, and I remember there was a stream back in 2017 or so that he actually mentioned going to said show back in college, and I only remember that because I had recently read that forum post not long before he mentioned it on stream. Don't ask me what video it was on, but maybe someone will find it when this forum archive gets brought back up again in 6 months ;)

Hacker wants to rub her fupa on Vinny so badly

Not gonna lie, I think it is kinda dumb y'all are sperging about where an adult is spending his money. Let the man have his nostalgia kick, he is getting near mid life.

Of topic but watching Joel's Oblivion streams is a goddamn trip.
You can only add so much to a scale before it tips too far.

I'm looking forward to the subnut expansion streams. Subnut was comfy af

I'm not really huge on most corruption streams, I feel they can be a bit too samey, but holy shit this one moment from last sunday's was truely one of the best.

I totally forgot about campfire story nights. It was one of the many benefits of having a much smaller chatroom in that he could pull random people from it to tell scary stories or talk about paranormal experiences. IIRC most of them were pretty bad as you may expect, but part of the fun was laughing at them and having real community interaction between the streamer and the audience. I think most if not all of them were done on Livestream that nobody bothered to archive since I can't seem to find any traces of it on YouTube, which is a shame.

I know I'm stating the obvious, but I can't even imagine Vinny doing something like that today unless it involved his cringy mods or Ross & friends. It's just not feasible anymore since his community has blown up by an order of magnitude in terms of viewer numbers since the last time he did it. Vinny doesn't even recognize his chat members as individuals anymore. Chatters are no longer unique personalities with flairs to differentiate themselves from one another that feel like members of a community. Now chat is just chat; a creepy, soulless smiling robot hivemind brainlessly repeating the same stale jokes and memes over and over again. Sure, the Chatango flairs and smaller chat enabled its fair share of attention whores, but I would trade a couple thousand owo transpride furry spammers screaming about CBT for a handful of people talking about their trip to the grocery store and how they need to do laundry any day if it meant there could be more unique streams like the campfire stories.
