The state of chat, which I deride as well, aside, it IS more fun to watch with it on. Fullsauce feels like a baseball game with the roar of the crowd muted, a big part of the fun is chat reacting.
That's just the thing, really. He has the same charisma you'd expect from a good comedic actor, but he also has the attention span of a fly, and he keeps doing stupid shit his chat tells him to do because he is perpetually Marty Mcfly being called a chicken. Even though he sucks at a lot of games in the weirdest ways imaginable, he still manages to make those moments entertaining. You might watch a video or two from the Second Jerma channel, I recommend this Lego Star Wars video, and his playthrough of The Thing for ps2 if you have 45 minutes or so.

He's done G-mod shit for a while, a lot of his videos use it, so he was always aware of the rising V-tubers and VR-chat, he streamed a couple of times before with shitty v-tuber avatars being "ironic" about it, until recently he commissioned the Jabroni-chan shit and used it for a whole stream where he was just reading awful fanfiction (a staple of his).

Also worth mentioning that unless you're in the right time zone and/or don't have responsibilities that require a normal sleep schedule, it's honestly a real pain to watch Vin live. I used to live on the West coast and watching live was way more accessible (streams would start at 9 and end around 12:30 at night). Now living more to the East and being in a grad program? Yeah good luck ever catching a stream unless its a rare mid-day one.
