Mini shitshow during last night's Undermine stream. Vinny threw his hat in on the whole Poggers situation cuz' apparently chat was making it a huge deal. Bit of a long post so I'll spoiler it to save space.
It didn't help that Desert was making somewhat of a stink about it during the discussion telling people to stop talking about it/go somewhere else. It wasn't even a huge cause for concern anyway since, from what I saw, it was just an odd 5 - 7 people discussing the whole Emote Rotation thing whist being very civil.
It wasn't until Vinny addressed it, questioning what would getting upset over it accomplish since it's just an emote and you can blacklist it if you don't like it, is when chat started going "Wait, what's going on???"

He ended up concluding a few minutes later that Twitch should just stop with the rotation thing since it's been nothing but annoying and arguments for 4 days, take that discussion elsewhere and just enjoy the stream. Not faulting Vinny in any way since chat goes by so quickly, he catches a comment mentioning a situation and most likely assumes all of chat's going full retard.
Starts @52:30 and @54:50 for those curious.
On a personal note: It's been a bit irritating having to listen to Vinny reiterate, sometimes several times, to chat members about the Secret Walls during every damn Undermine stream and him sounding slightly frustrated having to do so each time. Why not ignore those chat members and make an effort to pay more attention rather than having chat be your separate pair of eyes then.

Probably just streamer brain, his mind starts to look at chat for something to kill silence and keep on talking and his mind picks the first thing that doesn't look like a shitpost/emote and runs off of that, he probably was seeing it so much he felt like he needed to address it multiple times, as for Desert he is the only one of the mods i've ever seen pick up fights with chat members, for random reasons too. All other mods only address Vin almost exclusively while ignoring chat (unless addressed directly by someone else on something serious and not shitposts) no idea why he does that since he's usually super reserved and dodges confrontation to a fault on his own streams

But man Vinny just sounded extra tired/done last night. He so clearly tries to not talk about polarizing topics on purpose yet people still egg him on to talk about it sometimes. Like do they even watch his streams?

I was playing Stardew with his stream on in the background last night, but I did catch wind of him talking about the emotes and I Just ended up turning the stream off because he just seemed so done with everything last night.

As for Desert, I sometimes love him and then sometimes he just really grates my nerves. I do like his own streams though, I guess it's just when he's in mod mode.

I was falling asleep (yes, I'm one of those people) to the stream and I picked it up too.

I don't activity follow dessert but I enjoy him when he plays with vin, but thought he does kinda try to steal the spotlight sometimes. If that makes sense? But I love beardies so I can't help but live his schtick.

Also OT but I just broke down and got stardew on my switch for portability. I'm going to lose so many hours if my life to this shit again (:_(

100% agree. Anyone trying to have any sort of good discussion in Vin’s modern chat might as well close it or wait until the vod is uploaded to Full Sauce and comment on youtube. If it’s not a shitpost/obvious bait comment, it’s people spamming emotes that add nothing to the conversation (using that word VERY lightly here). Basically, chat is useless and not as interesting or fun as it used to be. You're not missing out on much, other than 7k people spamming :LUL: whenever he does something thats maybe 2% slightly amusing.

I kinda blame Desert for some, if not most of those moments where Vin stops the stream for a sec to talk about “controversial” stuff. Like @Nejo said, just about every time I see him in chat, he's either got caps lock on saying some dumb meme shit (what a shocker!), is instigating a petty chat fight for a few mins, or keeps @'ing him directly to talk about whatever news is happening in gaming/nerd culture etc; which Vin somehow ends up seeing a lot more of as of recently. The only other mods I remember acting like that directly were Charonian and Norix, but that was so many years ago and they've been a lot better about not being obnoxious + actually do their mod job correctly. I'm sure Desert is fine on his own streams, but he can definitely get a little excessive for me sometimes which is saying a lot for someone that still watches Vinny and tolerates him yelling SPEEN and CAPUSSI. :^)

Same but i'm gonna wait till the console update hits to try the beach farm vanilla. I play the PC one with a bunch of mods, Is there a Stardew thread on here?

Slightly on topic, I do hope Vinny goes back to Stardew someday
