You work fast! @echteekay and I just found out about this not long ago and did a bit of research into it, and we've actually come to the conclusion that the story is likely real. Saddle in, buckaroos - this is gonna be a long one.
First of all, the original Tumblr post. Although it didn't start gaining traction until yesterday (Christmas Day, of course), I think the post has actually been up for about three days - the first reblog on the post is from December 22nd, and it's only the OP (not any of the added tags), so I think the OP is at least that old and the additional reblogs came later:
Second, the timeline. The screenshots in the body of the post are shown to be from February 10th, and OP claimed to have fucked Vinny during PAX East. I unfortunately don't have screenshot corroboration for this (because she deleted the posts), but I DO have this screenshot from the notes on the post stating that OP was responding to questions, and some replies from the OP as well:
That actually lines up perfectly; PAX this year ran from the end of February to early March, giving these two enough time to communicate, sext or whatever, and finally plan to hookup there. I will say that that does seem to be a little fast for Vinny, as I can't recall him jumping into bed with his other sexting buddies quite so soon, but I also don't know the guy at all and stranger things have happened. Plus, if she was going to PAX anyway, it would've made for very convenient timing to hookup. The quickness of it was the biggest doubt I had about the veracity of the story, but the more I looked into it, the more I was able to toss that doubt out the window.
Third, the OP's Tumblr account: I did some scouring through her archives, and she has barely posted ANYTHING to this blog between June 2020 and December 2020 (less than 100 posts for 6 months; that's a SUPER low posting rate for Tumblr):
I cropped some posts out of this just to make the screenshot smaller; there are probably 10-15 extra ones not pictured. She seems to be primarily on Twitter now, so this leads me to believe that her blog on Tumblr is largely abandoned, and probably has very few followers left except for some friends. All of that would make it a GREAT place to brag about having fucked Vinny... if you don't understand how the internet works.
Third, her Twitter account: as you can imagine, it's locked. I sadly learned about this story too late to follow her before she locked it, so that was a dead-end. However, after a little bit of digging, we (Ech mostly though
) found a side account for the same person:This one is locked too, sadly, but what ISN'T lockable are the replies. And we found some pretty damning ones.
^ Difficult to say the context of this one, but it definitely seems to be reacting to a picture of the OP with Vinny. The dude whose name is highlighted in red is also followed by both Vinny and Jabroni Mike.
This is from probably 1 am EST; the original post would've been long deleted by then, but people had begun posting about it elsewhere, so that could be what the replier is commenting on here.
Putting the rest in an Imgur thread because there are just SO many; you can look at that here. The dates on these screenshots line up perfectly with the date of her first @'ing Vinny on Twitter, and also the reactions from friends definitely seem like the way one would react to finding out their friend hooked up with a streamer twice her age. Scary to think that these people are all around the same age and don't understand why this is so fucking weird.
(EDIT: Missed probably the most damning screenshot of all, where someone explicitly says that Vinny is the streamer in question.)
Lastly, spread of the post. On one of the Tumblr accounts which reblogged the post, I saw a tracker which allows people to see where traffic to their blog is coming from. The Tumblr post has been reposted somewhere on Facebook, though echteekay and I were unable to track down exactly where - probably to a private group or account. The OP originally posted demanding that people not repost the claim elsewhere, but has since deleted it - luckily, I grabbed a screenshot when I first saw it. The posts in question are bordered in red (and notice they are NOT in the other, more recent screenshot I posted of her blog's archive):
It has also made its way back to Twitter - people once again doubting the veracity, but you can tell from their reactions that part of them must be aware of the tangible possibility that it's real. This may be also what the person who mentioned "vagueposting about Vinny" before was talking about.
All of this, to me, seems too well laid out to be fake. How could she do all this with such fantastic coordination, and over the course of such a long period of time? A 10 month long con just for a 19-20 year old to falsely brag about getting with Vinny, who could easily dispel the rumor in two seconds once it got back to him? No dice. There's no way this person is faking. I fully believe this is real, and what's more, I fully believe there are more than just this person. That's where I get a little nervous. If they hooked up when Vinny was 34 and she was 19, that's pushing the boundaries of acceptability by a LOT. Who knows how much worse it gets?
Incidentally, that also brings me to my final point:
I'm actually with @echteekay on this one - I do think this pretty fucked up. At 19 and 34, Vinny is old enough to have been this person's father (a very young father, mind, but a father nonetheless), and while he may be legally in the clear, I definitely believe this reflects poorly on him as a person. I find it similar to how Ryan Haywood was sleeping and hooking up with girls at the "barely legal" edge; legally justifiable, but morally very fucking creepy. The real question is if this was a one time dalliance, and he generally sticks with people closer to his age range, or if pursuing girls much, MUCH younger than him is a trend. Cause, if so... yikes.
In any case, this post actually remained relatively underground - it capped at around 900 notes on Tumblr, which is sizable for a small community, but a mere drop in the bucket for the site as a whole. Regardless, though, I'm still certain Vinny will hear about it. What he does from there is going to be the interesting part.
