Even recently Vinny's played some more 'popular' games that were seriously hyped up as a one-off that he's not seemed that into. Battle for Bikini Bottom sticks out. He may seem to get a decent amount of enjoyment from them, but I think streaming them like that is at least partly so he can answer any requests by saying he gave it a try.

I have zero evidence to go along with this, it's a total shot in the dark. but:

It'd be kinda funny if that was his way of announcing he'd come into contact with the actor behind Rem Lezar or someone who was involved in the production with it and as a result has a plethora of Rem Lezar lore and details behind the character. That'd be great. Exactly the kind of thing I imagine Vinny would enjoy reading through on his downtime. This is unlikely though, because I don't know the context around Rem Lezar and the chat jokes that became context for the joke that may shift what it means. I.E, Rem Lezar has become a chat in-joke for being stoned or something. No clue.

Then again I haven't watched streams in a while. I want to catch up on the Phasmophobia streams he did because the game looks fun and I want to see his experience with it. I also want to watch the Spelunky 2 streams since Splanky was the main game back when I initially got into Vinesauce. Comfy streams way back in the Livestream/Chatango/Autopilot days.

I thought he was mainly referring to one of his audio compressors having an "even higher" option added to it.

However the actor that plays Rem Lazar has had a lot of contact with Vinny in the past, even entertaining the idea of meeting up and having a chat(before covid, of course). The actor lives in New York last I remember. He appreciated all the Rem Lazar memes out of the Vinesauce community and the addition of Rem in the Vinesauce RE2 mod.
 
Vinny playing so much spelunky 2 reminded me I have the first one still untouched in my steam library since probably 2012 but I never ended up starting it for whatever reason. Really getting the itch to try it out.

Do it, if you don't like it the download isn't that big, the worst that can happen is you end up enjoying the stream more since you can empathize with the gameplay better (it really does have a unique kinda feel for what its trying to be)

Like a lot of Vinny's humor, Rem Lazar is just taken directly from another source. It seems a bit confusing that Vinesauce is being attributed for Rem Lazar references when it only exists on Vinesauce because Vinny takes his humor directly 1:1 from things he watches. It'd be like if reddit got a commendation for Pickle Rick jokes.

Then again Rem Lazar guy is probably just desperate for a way to put himself out there.
 
These collab streams he's doing with Ross really just makes me think Vinny is genuinely autistic. I've only watched a few clips and minutes of the stream he did with Ross tonight, but he feels completely foreign to Ross and his friends, only making vague comments and references. I've been that fucking person in a group before, so I know what it looks and sounds like, and that's the definition of it.

Like which youtube reviewer gets to take credit for x bad movie becoming a meme? The first one gets dibs or does a bigger more popular one, or why not vinny who does other bits with those characters.
In the end it doesn't matter, meat came and went as a normie instagram meme after the first destroy dick december, now vinny has him as a pet that 100's of people have drawn fanart of, more than the variations of "my meat/cleat after long peroid of singleness/whatever" from meat's origin as meme. Nevermind that the real "creator" of meat isn't a memer, its the creature fx crew from whatever movie that was from.

Vinny's brought up thinking about getting a pet a couple times semi-recently. It'd be hilarious if he got a pet earthworm to name it Meat. :story:
 
I don't see it mentioned very often, but Joel seems to be pretty good at drawing and I kinda wonder what he could do if he actually studied it seriously.

He's always had a great eye for artistry, both musical and drawn. I again have to bring up his drawing from when he was still exh0rder (and presumably around 16-17 years old) - there's some stylistic shittiness going on here, but you can tell with the drawing of Tame and the drawing of spacebat that even back then, he had some serious technical skill that many artists have to work for a long ass time to reach.

I think it's simply not something he's interested in pursuing a career in; seems like streaming and music are his first loves, but his art is something he probably reserves for fun. Rev is also a pretty skilled artist, jokes aside - I genuinely enjoy his stuff. He has some progress videos here.

Sorry I've been less active here; been taking a vacation in the hellscape that is the Ryan Haywood saga.

I remember back in like 2014 he did a 30 minute segment where he showed off some of his old art. To the surprise of no one, when he was 14 to 16 he made cover art for local metal bands for some spare change. Unfortunately I don't remember the names of the bands, but I'm sure Joel's cover art is archived somewhere. Either way they looked great, if he actually tries then realism and accurate anatomy seem to be his thing.

Kind of a shame he doesn't pursue it more. I could see him becoming something of a K.C. Green-kinda guy, artwise. Imagine buying stickers of fren or somethin'.

Also I do hope he plays Signal Simulator. I'd never been really, properly scared/on edge from watching horror games. I ended up getting second-hand paranoia from those videos, it was so unsettling. Well done.

Ooh, you should show this dumb bint a comment Vidyabum made on the Silent Hill stream from 4 days ago, in regard to chat members getting upset over others shitposting about Cheryl saying Daddy. The comment is made at the exact 1 hour mark in the stream, and the comment was this: "lmao i love the ppl like WONT SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN close chat already"

Doesn't sound very progressive to have a moderator like that on your stream, now does it?
 
I feel like a similar thing happened during monke stream, when chat was going on about monkey tits or something and a chat member brought up children watching Vinny's stream. And he just pointed out(with snark)that his streams are 18+.
I noticed atleast 2 mods in chat basically going "yeah gtfo cunts".

And yet because they chose to have a partnered discord server it's the other way around when it comes to age.
