The Vinesauce-themed video game, “Vine Realms” has been released for Windows here. Who wants to take one for the team and tell us if it’s good or not? :vineJape:
I've been playing through it for the past 2 days, and a lot of it is surprisingly tame. A lot of the humor isn't in your face, with the exception of rampant references everywhere which I kind of expected out of a Vinesauce game. No in-game chat really helps the experience. As for the gameplay, it's just a standard bit of egg–like exploration stuff. You can really tell a lot of effort was put into the environments, so that's a definite plus. Just expect lots and lots of walking.

Anyone else feel that Windows Destruction was pretty weak this year (despite the out of left field Windows version he was destroying)
I always find that Joel doesn’t work well with a short time limit. Usually (as of recent destructions) part 2 or 3 is where shit gets good.

Edit: He also had half the time for dumb jokes than he usually gets.

The "Windows Destruction" concept is diminishing returns at this point. There's only so many things you can do to an OS before you start repeating yourself.

Can't remember who it was, but months ago someone mentioned that they think the final Windows Destruction should be Joel destroying a physical computer, which I think would be a great capper to those videos. I hope one day he actually does do that.

I, for one, wait for the day Joel runs out of Windows Destruction ideas for charity so he just starts TV Destruction where he's smashing big ass old TVs he found while dumpster diving on stream.

Mobile destruction could also be a thing considering how many shitty phone apps full of malware exist and how good mobile emulaltion has gotten in the last two years.

I don't think I'll even bother watching the unedited version
Destruction streams were awesome for the first what, 4 times?
The only reason Joel still does them is because redditors will give tons of money during them because "omg epic vinesauce meme", and Joel is far too considerate to not cast aside his distate for the forced-meme, template+template=funny reddit culture

Also its the same effect that vinny had with the corruptions; doing random shit on streams and finding nostalgic/outrageous things to do on the spot has a certain charm to it, a charm you simply can't replicate by "look this one guy prepared this for me, haha the screen goes all fucky and Bonzi Buddy is there ig"

Hope these streams go well, but the last time I was really involved and cared a bunch was in 2016. Still glad they're doing this, though. Hope they get a bunch of donations.

On the topic of Desert being a loud energetic sperglord: That's just how he is. He isn't like an attention hog or anything, he's a genuine dipshit who likes doing bits and jokes. He's definitely not a bad person and not the type to purposefully attention hog or leech. He's friends with pretty much everyone, it's why he's so comfortable being a fucking idiot.

He used to put on this Californian deep dude-bro voice when he first started streaming because he was self-conscious about it. He was super low energy and sounded stoned.

And a few minutes after the start of Sims section, there is a townie sim with tranny flag shirt. I like how Joel just rotates the camera to ignore this shit.

Look no further, fellas!

Not related to VarietyIsHope, but I stumbled onto some streams Vinny did back in 2014 (way before my time) with Lyle Rath, and I was just wondering if anyone knows why they haven't streamed together since. They seemed to be pretty close friends at that point, but I could only find 5 or so streams with the two of them together.

That Hitler v. Hitler Smash fight was hilarious, for Vinny's sake I hope Twitter never catches wind of that.

Man, I forgot about those streams! I'm so used to Lyle being on OneyPlays all the time that I forgot that him and Vinny used to stream together occasionally.
