Does anyone else have a love hate relationship with Vinesauce is Hope streams?

Not a big fan of the charity streams. Doesn't feel like a real stream and almost held back because of the charity incentives being shouted out all the time. Doing it for a good cause though.

Over an hour of Joel laughing

I watched that the other night. So many good clips. Could have done without the whole god segment though.

Not a fan of the charity streams because frankly, nobody cares about the rest of the "Vinesauce team" being shoved in. The casual fan or "new friend" likely has no idea who the fuck Lines is or whoever else is dug up to pad out the event.

If it was just Joel and Vinny, with the odd guest like Jerma; it would have far more impact. But I think for many, they cannot accept that Vinesauce as a concept is dead.

What charity is the money raised for?
I never paid much attention to vih tbh

Does anyone else get annoyed at Joel sometimes? I know he's big dumb a lot of the time but when chat is actively helping him with something and he just blatantly ignores it to do something for the big foonee, it kind of irritates me.
That's part of why I watch him, though. If I wanted to see someone play it correctly without funnees happening I'd just watch a YouTube playthrough. Chat can get unbearable with backseat gaming at times.

I hope to fucking God the chat doesn't try to force Vinny to talk about the shitshow going on in the country right now. Already been seeing a ton of random YTers and streamers throwing their retarded hats into the shit ring so I fully expect them to bring it up and demand he awkwardly say something about it.

Vinny got stuck on a level with the ICUM music and the chat did not relent in the memery for the entirety of it. Vinny doesn't get too mad in general but he was gettin mad at the chat this time. They should have just shut up at some point.

I was jokingly saying the reason Vinny didn't stream yesterday is because he was outside protesting but he usually picks fridays for his day off, wouldn't be surprised if he actually took the day to skip the shitstorm on chat and you know damn well the chat would had been nothing but ACAB, BLM and troon pride spam for 4 hours straight on top of chat demanding his opinion even if he already adressed it.
Its honestly the worse part of politics substituting religion, spergs from both sides in chat DEMANDING the streamer validates their ideologies. It doesn't happen much on Joel but Vinny gets the worse of it, and dumbass Rev feeds it because he's one of those too

I think Rev has always made it known he takes parts in riots? I think he's big into the punk anti-cop anarchy scene. (not defending him, just saying)

But yeah I dig the faffing streams, and its funny when Vinny gets passive-aggressive at the idiots screaming "ur doing it wrong!"

It's the whole reason he's known for his gas mask. He is a proud anarchist and I don't doubt for a second that he took part in the Austin """protest""" yesterday.

Besides that, Rev is just an annoying artist faggot in general (but being from Austin, that's hardly supprising.) He said in an art stream once that he does not shop at hobby lobby because he doesn't agree with their values, or something simular. I don't exactly remember what caused him to bring it up but it was so off putting and out of nowhere. Then that's when his streams started getting more and more political and I just bailed. It was around the time of the 2016 election too. I feared that the rest of the streamers would turn out to go down the same route (Vinny being from NYC and Joel from Sweden) so I stopped watching Vinesauce as a whole soon after that for months.

It's a damn shame too because I actually did find Rev up until that point to be the funniest streamer of the bunch, but I can't have lefty politics in my funny man stream highlights.

How much you wanna bet he's bought something from Amazon in the past couple of months? At least the weird boomers at Hobby Lobby treat their staff like human beings 90% of the time.

I really liked his flash game streams but yes I agree as time went on he got more and more political and less about cute animals and no drama I just...lost interest :c

I think Joel and Vinny are the only non-political streamers on the VInesauce stream? other than maybe Fred.

First time posting in this thread - started lurking it last month after wanting to dig into the Vappy controversy following his passing. Y'all seem like an alright group and it's refreshing to hear from Vinesauce fans outside the cancer of chat and the official Discord.

Agree strongly that I'm super glad Vinny and Joel do their best to avoid mentioning their politics on stream. I just want soma vidya, stupid jokes, and some escapism.

I don't know anything about Rev, but Hobby Lobby is a very christian company. Being an "anarchist" he would most likely dislike religion, so that would make sense for his persona.

You can be guaranteed Vinny will stay as far away from current controversial or political matters as much as possible.
And a number of the mods and people Vinny keeps close are in the same mindset.
From what I've seen, anyone who might try to guilt-trip Vinny or Joel into speaking about this shit is usually in the minority.

Rev always hinted at being at protests, even years ago. I recall in his earliest My Summer Car stream people asked where he was for 3 days, he just said something like "I just had to be in the city for a while" which correlated to the big riots in 2018. I dislike violence being the first answer but I am willing to let people fight for what they stand for, history will announce them right or wrong. Let the man be, at least he's doing something better than false sympathy some people do.

The Discord is fine if you ignore the "art" channel and maybe the dumb stupid ramblings you get from teenagers but most of the guys there seem nice. Though the art thats not even related to the streams should be nuked.
