Whoa, this came out of nowhere. Vappy died? Had no idea he was even sick and with Corona, no less... my condolences to him and his family.

I'm sure Vinny and the rest of the streaming circle have been made aware of this. Wonder what words he'll have to say the next time he streams (if he chooses to do so?)
 
Geeze, even if Vappy was the way he was...he didn't deserve that, I would imagine Vinny is going to feel sad about the news too as he WAS a big part of the community with the whole "Vappy pls cut" meme.
 
Christ, he may have done some creepy stuff and did some idiotic things, but he didn't deserve this. Not at all. He was even partly responsible for me getting into Vinesauce as much as I did back in 2014. Vinny's streams of Kirby Triple Deluxe were the first archived streams I watched, and half the reason Fullsauce is a thing was because of him. So, Rest In Peace, Vappy.
 
KF sure is fast about turning for the weirdest reasons.

Community moderators are a dime a dozen. It's likely tens of other candidates could've done better without the furry porn involvement. Covid isn't some new "Woah not cool dude" cause, nor is a celebration of someone's death, but I for one am completely unfazed by this.

I commented on his steam profile once and he didn't block me and he replied, was a great moment, may he rest in peace even if he was degen

Hopefully Vin takes things easy the next few days. Dunno if they still kept in touch after John Fullsauce came into the picture, but i'd like to think so to some degree.

The only thing I'm nervous about is how the booru is going to look with tribute art + posts. Can't imagine wanting to going through 15+ art pieces of your recently deceased editor at 3am. I mean no disrespect for people wanting to express their condolences with art, but it must be awkward for him to add some commentary to (almost) every piece of stuff that gets posted.

I hadn't even thought about this but its a good point. I hope people have the tact not to post anything about it in the booru and just leave it on Twitter if they really feel inspired to make something. I get that people want to pay tribute to him but with everything that happened + his recent passing I doubt Vinny wants to deal with it.

Ok, that's sad and messed up. I started watching Vappy's stream uploads even before Fullsauce was a thing. It's what got me into vinesauce in the first place.

Hope Vinny is alright. Can't imagine that's particularly great news. Especially if they parted on tense terms.
 
Just watched Vinny's VOD from last night and he talks about Vappy right at the beginning if anyone is curious.

It's a completely normal human response to feel sorry for someone that has died, and it's not like Vappy did anything particularly awful to anyone. Congrats to you for being a bastion of unfeeling logic, but the rest of us have a little more tact than that. Yes, even on KF.

Regardless of everything else, Vappy was a big part of Vinesauce for a long time, and as many here have stated, Vinesauce wouldn't be what it is now without him. Rest in peace.

According to his sister’s Reddit account he was overweight, but he had no underlying conditions or needed medication for anything.

Was surprised that no Vappy art was shown on the booru last night, though I think it's best to limit that stuff to twitter postings and whatnot. And Vinny didn't have much to say about his passing, but he says he's not good with expressing grief on stream-- which is understandable. It must be weird to have people expect you to say certain things/words to validate a tragedy or a loss.

Again, whether you guys disagree with his actions inside/outside of Vinesauce, he's still human and someone's brother, son, friend, etc. and he's made an obvious impact on the community. Let people grieve and express their condolences without being devoid of basic human empathy. It's really not that hard.

There is one now, I don't know if there were any previously, but this one didn't get deleted. I'd like to see more opinions on this. Also hi am new.
