I wonder how disappointed Vinnie is gonna be when he gets to the end of part 1 of the FF7 "remake"

That makes sense since his dad's been sick and staying with him for quite a while, so it was only a matter of time before it got him, too. I feel really bad for him; hopefully the two of them are feeling better by now. I can't imagine how stressful this situation must be for them, since his dad was sick well before the virus started spreading everywhere, and now the both of them REALLY can't go anywhere. Really shitty timing just in general.

I wonder how he was streaming with his dad staying at his place, since there were a handful of times when he definitely did stream while his dad was there, as a lot of people pointed out he was a lot more mellow and quiet than he normally would be. Do you think his dad was watching over his shoulder going "ARE YA WINNING SON?"
 
He's confirmed that he's sick on his stream about ten minutes ago. Chat's justified in its worries that it's Rona. If he feels better there might even be a madness stream (so I'm going to guess there won't be one, he's feeling better but he still sounds awful.)
 
Vinny at least needs to be aware that his audience is full of furries because he kind of brought it on himself. He would often make jokes in New Leaf about fucking Isabelle or Lolly and of course people would find it funny and take it a step further with semi-lewd art. I remember he would kinda egg people on with all the Cherry fanart and didn't have a problem showing the risque ones.

In the comments of the recent New Horizon's stream; Teckworks mentioned that he never showed any of the porn he made to Vinny nor would he post it on the booru. He also mentioned that people in his chat would be the ones drawing pictures of Scoot with a huge dick among other things. It's clear to me that it's more of an issue with people in the chat pushing the envelope too far and overstepping boundaries.

I think Mike mentioned how he would see posts on twitter and/or tumblr from fans that got way too explicit about their fantasies about Vinny and how it made him uncomfortable. I know people want to blame the furries for all of it, but this is kinda an issue that goes beyond that. Since he is a male streamer, it's a given that he's going to be targeted by weird fangirls trying to ship him with the others members of Vinesauce or try to rope him into saying gay shit. Other internet famous personalities (like Markiplier for example) had to tell their fans to stop with all the shipping with their friends along with the gay art because how uncomfortable it made them.

I think Vinny at least needs to set some clearer rules on this or at least age gate his community. He has every right to say he doesn't want horny art people around him but he should at least be firmer about it to prevent issues in the future.
 
He would have to tread eggshells for trying to tell chat to stop with gay stuff, he already did for the Vlinny ship art + kinnies, the Scoot stuff I have seen is more playful with "Bromance" at worse. Good on Techworks for keeping lewd stuff away from the stream.
 
John Fullsauce most likely deleted those comments because they would potentially cause a shitstorm. He's far more active than Vappy ever was, and that includes community posts and responding to people who have certain questions about a particular stream, alongside starting an ENTIRE extra channel dedicated to the brb talks and specific events that happen therein. He ain't compromised. He's went above and beyond with the efforts of the fullsauce channel, so I don't particularly think it's fair to accuse him for deleting a few comments. He's not trying to hide boyfriend drama or shit like Vappy did.

It's a difficult line to walk. Those fans are gross and annoying, sure, but those are also the exact kinds of fans who give them free advertisement by never shutting the fuck up about their favorite streamers and showing off all their creepy real person porn. Vinny is well within his rights to be skeeved out, as I think any person would be, and in all honesty I'm pretty sure it's more about the fact that people are drawing porn of him and his friends point blank, not so much that it's gay porn. I think he'd hate it equally much - and in all honesty, he'd probably hate it more - if people drew porn of him with, say, Imakuni or MentalJen. It's just a huge boundary crossed, and unfortunately, the people doing it also now make up a decent chunk of his following.

Same goes for the furries in his fanbase - whether or not he makes furry-adjacent jokes, they will still engage with his content and put furry stuff in it, so why not crack a joke or two about fucking Isabelle? Really, who cares? (And, honestly, I find the furries much less troublesome than the people who are shipping actual people like they're cartoon characters. Furries are weird but generally harmless - the real person shipping is just fuckin gross, man.)

As for age gating the community, it's a good idea in theory, but in practice it honestly does very little. There's no way to actually tell how old people are, no matter how old they claim to be. Vinny's streams are already labeled "mature" even though he rarely, if ever, does go beyond PG-13 in terms of his jokes and content - he's done pretty much everything a person can do to mitigate the situation. This is just the sad reality of the consequences of being an e-celeb in this age of delusional fans and parasocial relationships. He can tell people to stop all he wants, but whether or not they'll actually listen to him is the sticking point. And, going off of the example you gave of Markiplier, we can make a safe bet that they likely wouldn't. So, taking that all into account, I can't really fault him for how he's handling it.

It's hard to tell if he's even enjoying the game. At the very least, it sounds like he's reluctant about liking the game. He sings more "nitpicks" about it than praises.

I agree with the corona stuff, I doubt it's really that but he had a fever throughout the stream and even hallucinated with some things during the Geoguesser segment and chat was rightfully confused because they weren't there.

Hope he gets better soon, whether or not it's actually corona or just a nasty flu.

I hope Vin keeps playing AC while the squeenix games are on, those JRPGs never caught my interest.
I like the GameBoy Trash series tho. He mentioned playing VR chat at the end of the third one. I've been looking forward to it.

I don't know a damn thing about FF as a whole, but even I can tell he's struggling more and more to enjoy himself while playing it every passing stream. It's downright painful to watch his optimism slowly fade during each session. The absurdly thirsty chat spamming Kreygasm during every single cutscene surely doesn't help either. I get a lot of it is both the game itself being a total horndog and quarantine amplifying everything but come on guys.

As someone who doesn't know anything about Final fantasy and doesn't watch streams of it, why is that game disappointing to him? I only watched the first part of it and he seemed to be enjoying it a lot. Couldn't stomach watching more of it because it just isn't my taste.

It was advertised as a faithful remake (at least story-wise) but is actually a sequel in disguise that ruins the original game's themes with Nomura's autistic Kingdom Hearts-esque shit.

The original wasn't a childhood game for me, considering I first played it through the PSP version downloaded from the playstation network, but I can definitely understand how frustrating it must be to expect a faithful remake and then get the weird time police ghost shit. At least people are making funny shitposts about it. I saw a bunch in the final fantasy thread here on the farms that amused me.
 
I think it's important to note that the reason why Joel doesn't get as many special individuals flocking to his streams is because of that attack helicopter joke and the fact he'd bitch at them like any self-respecting streamer should. If he weren't a part of Vinesauce I'm pretty sure he'd go harder on people like that.
