Even with Moon aside from memes it seemed like he was not into it.

Hell, I stopped playing Sun after their version of Elite 4. Just got bored.

ACNH has a good amount of game footage out, its definitely not another SwoShi, besides it's an in house game not like Pokemon. Nintendo has made stinkers before, but they have made many many more good and amazing games than they have stinkers.

I feel like Vinny is too old for Pokemon now. He may play babby games, but Pokemon is like Toddler's First JRPG. (And Persona would be Edgy Teen Weeb's JRPG.)

They cut ~60 percent of existing Pokemon from the newest games (Sword and Shield) which goes over very well with a fanbase full of autists who are heavily emotionally invested on a "catch 'em all" franchise with the excuse they need to work on new features and animations and stuff and really brought nothing new to the table in the slightest. By cut, I don't mean like they don't show up in the wild. They're straight up not coded in, not transferable from previous games into the new one.

Anyway there's one half of the fandom now who is pissed over the cuts and now, lack of innovation in the series that they were previously blinded to before this shitstorm happened. And then there's the other half full of people who think Gamefreak can do no wrong and people are entitled for wanting all Pokemon in the game. Both sides are painfully autistic, although I think you can kinda tell I am coming at this with more of an anti-Gamefreak slant tbh, so if someone else wants to sum this up more neutrally than I can, go ahead.

The heart of the issue's that Sword & Shield are smaller than the 3DS titles, the most obvious example is the cut Pokemon, but even with that aside the game from what I understand the game's fairly short and linear story and has little to no post game content.

I may be younger than Vinny by 3 years, but I can sympathize with him with just refusing to play the flavor of the week save for some (Like Animal Crossing thats coming out in a few months)

Anime games 9/10 get boring quickly or the fandom is so insufferable it is just not worth even trying. In short...I'm too old for this shit lol. Some games might be fun for nostalgia value but that's it.

At least with the Mario games, you can never be too young or old for IMO and I know Vinny has shared how he feels about the 3D games like New Super Mario Bros. series, at least with those he can easily avoid the meme levels for Mario Maker streams unless he runs into one in endless mode or something.

Here's to hoping Vinny's first island resisdent will be Scoot when he gets ACNH.
 
I really did not find his Death Stranding stream to be nearly as bad as it's made out to be in the Youtube comments. I like the rare occasions that Vinny gets combative with an insufferable fanbase like Kojima cultists or Dark Souls turbo autists. I also just found it entertaining that he was being shitty about a game that was hyped up to be the greatest achievement of both men and gods alike. Some of the commenters were reallyoverreacting with things like, "I'm not sure I can keep watching Vinny after this." and other things to that effect. He did get a bit too angry about the Pokemon stuff, but I thought it was a decent stream otherwise.

I'm surprised to see that Vinny chose such a controversial tack with his Death Stranding stream. I think V-Dub was a polarizing character to begin with, since, as many have said, it's only funny for about 10 minutes, at which point it just starts to feel like you're watching a Dr. Disrespect stream and becomes insufferable. Combo that with a game that a lot of people have been highly anticipating, and you get a very frustrating stream. I of course think people are overreacting, but I am curious as to why Vinny decided to take this route instead of doing it the easy way. My guess is that he knew from what he'd already seen of the game that he would hate it, and so decided to make it more fun for himself by bringing out V-Dub, not realizing that no one else was going to find it funny. Valiant effort, but sad results.

It sort of makes me think of Joel's E3 streams in that way. Joel said once that he gets bored of all the shit games and the bad announcers, so to make it fun for himself, he adds jokes and plays clips and talks a LOT - over the game announcements that his fans are watching him for. Some people get really pissy at him for doing that and ignoring the announcements - and I'll be honest, I usually love it but it does get annoying sometimes - but he just straight up says in the beginning of his E3 streams that if they're expecting a legitimate analysis of the games coming out or complete and undivided attention with no jokes, they're watching the wrong stream. I can at least respect that he makes his intentions clear from the jump. Maybe Vinny could've benefited from a little forewarning about V-Dub's presence in the Death Stranding streams, if he didn't already do that.
 
I wouldn't put it past Vin to have done it out of sarcastic saltiness. He wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to what is entertaining, boring, overrated, etc to him.
A more poignant example was his Zoo Race stream, where he was combative and scathing the whole way through it due to his personal gripes with its religious nature, with little concern for others' feelings.
Same way he has treated Sonic, deliberately mocking the franchise and riling up its fans (which he admitted later on was because of his jealousy for not having a Genesis).

I heard he once voiced his opinion during the jontron controversy saying he didn’t think jontron was racist like the vocal minority said he was being. Vincent should be allowed to say what’s on his mind and it makes me sad that he’s punished for it. Ik when streaming you have to be very business minded but that just makes things less enjoyable for the streamer imo.

If someone is watching Joel's streams wanting a serious evaluation of anything other than gay wrestling moves and Pepsi products they've misunderstood Joel on a fundamental level.

Sure thing, first screenshot was from offline chat (Joel's been quite aggressive in general lately) and he simply replied no when some people said hello to him/did the "there he is PogChamp" stuff, it evolved into more aggression later on when he became incredible sarcastic and seemed infuriated because of the metal posers in Chat. To elaborate on this, he randomly discussed some of his favorite albums and getting a Manilla Road and Necrofilth tattoo and everyone did the stupid "hell yeah dude they're the best" shit but when Joel actually sent some of his favorite tracks most of them went "ok boomer" or "E D G E". Second screenshot is when he joined Vinny's stream (Android trash, near the end) yesterday and got annoyed at people talking to him, using VargBruh emotes, in Vinny's chat etc. He got so sick of it that his next message was "alright Vin have fun with the trash, I'm out of this bye" (which you can probably see in the VOD). Honestly, I really hope everything's okay with our favorite Swede. Lately he's been getting constant calls onstream (for 2 weeks now, I believe, especially during Sims and Signal Simulator) because of family stuff so I hope he's not going through something too bad again.

On a side note, nice to see that the old drama with SgtFgt has been cleared up. Clearly haven't been as active lately, as I've got to deal with real life stuff myself (and there hasn't been much enjoyable stuff for me lately aside from Signal Simulator maybe) but it's nice to see this thread is going strong still. I just have a tendency to run into that kinda drama when I check out the channel every 3 days or so.

And Vinny is pretty much about to snap cause chat won't shut the fuck up about "BINNY PLS PLAE POKGEMANS PLS PLAY PERSONA 5" I wonder how many emails he trashes daily that have that content

If you compare the 2 Joel seems to have more patience than Vinny for the harder games/rom hacks (its an age thing, but still) as I could never picture Vinny playing Mario 64 vs chat or Unfair Mario 64 for very long or if he did the former he would disable the !chat function

I noticed that during a recent Signal Sim stream, but I didn't realize it was part of an ongoing trend. I hope that's not the case either, but if it is, I really hope he takes some time for himself and stops streaming for a while. It's hard enough to entertain a massive group of people with very low patience, but even harder when you are struggling in your personal life. It might sound dramatic, but I can almost feel the irritation oozing from those screenshots, and we know that Joel has already been feeling some type of way about his fanbase - it might be good for him mentally to take a step back.
 
Imma be real w/ y'all I think they just need to ditch the "personal" relationship b/w streamer and audience and just stop looking at audience shit outside of streams.

They probably don't look at it very much outside of the streams themselves. But it's kind of hard to ignore your fans while you're in a chat that's dedicated specifically to allowing communication between streamer and fan. And they both stream quite frequently, so that means it takes up most of their time.

Oh I’m talking in cases like where Vinny addresses people in youtube comments or on reddit which seems to be happening more frequently. I do recall Vinny saying he took on meditation to help him cope with life’s stress so it’s not like Vinny doesn’t take steps to make things easier on himself, Joel on the other hand I’m not so sure. It’s as sign says, Joel and Vinny are getting old and just don’t have the patience for chat’s kid shit.
