Whoever vetted the vids / submitted the vids is of... Very dry tastes or rightfully worried of how the chimps in chat would react. There were some painfully unfunny things in there. The Breaking Baki video was in my opinion was too good to be lumped in with the slop on that list.

Considering Vin's mods get offended when you insult an extremely underwhelming animator, my money's going to be on them for being the culprit of why Vinny could only replicate a fraction of Mike's baldnesss power.

Hey everyone, not sure why another thread was needed here. The YouTube comments have been enlightening enough. Clearly the segment wasn't as funny to a lot of people as we would have liked. That said, as you all know, humor is subjective. What makes some people laugh, would make other people wince. I do think that people misunderstood my facial expressions a bit, but in reality I was trying not to laugh, because each laugh meant I had to play another shitty Android game.

Some videos were very funny, some were stupidly funny because of how bad they were, and some were mildly funny at best. I personally enjoyed the segment, and it seems like nearly 15K other people watched it live and maybe enjoyed it as well. If not, oh well, was just another stream. 95% of my streams are less funny than that on a daily basis. Can just move on and watch another one.

There's really no reason for any more of these threads. We are aware that many of the videos weren't that great, and hopefully this will be rectified if I do another segment like this. The chat will likely submit better videos, and we'll have more people vet them. In this case the vetting was done very last minute, and all of the stuff was put together fairly quickly to avoid dmca at most.

So, I hope people can up their game for next time, and I'll be sure to have multiple people take a look at the entries. Thank you to all of those who watched, enjoyed, and then just got on with their lives afterwards. Even if you didn't enjoy, constructive criticism of course is welcome, but I don't think there's any more need for negativity, message received loud and clear. Submit videos that will make me laugh and next time will be better. In any case, it's kinda not that big of a deal in my opinion. I enjoyed myself even though I was sick, life goes on.

To be fair he just said that they should just send in better videos next time. I mean fair enough. He just said if it sucks it sucks. Didn't seem like he wasted that much time on it, and there's worse content he could be shitting out.
 
Why do some of you insist sharing what you're doing in the chat or youtube comments? Last guy who did that had kiwis dig out their entire history all over the internet online and post about it here for entertainment. You didn't post the person they were replying to, but the twitch vod that gets posted on youtube usually shows the whole chat history and chat users in the twitch chat replay. So even if you're screenshotting this guy, people here are probably going to dig you up next after they look at the chat replay.

Honestly he should just ax the segment imo. Haven't watched it other than the super cut, which was dull, but it seems like the whole thing in general was painful. This shit just doesn't jive well with his stream structure and vibe unlike with Mike and Joel, not to mention this is a low bar for him, scraping the bottom of the barrel with this type of content. No second wind's going to make it any better, I feel, and the only people who praise this type shit and want Vinny to keep at it are parasocials.

This is like when he tried his hand at reacting to Xenogears' OST after being inspired by Dan Spencer/Music Theory for Gamers reacting to *FF7's OST for the first time. Surffice to say, Vinny's take on the format was as bland as a plain slice of white bread. Certain trends just do not trasnlate well with his streams.

I agree. I'm not much for you laugh you lose videos, but I watched jermas and comparing that video to Vinny's videojerma was much more conversational and talkative than Vinny. Which works better since The main appeal of y l y l videos seems to be the parasocial nature. I don't think Vinny is comfortable enough being on camera to get it right on the first try. Maybe if he did more it would go better, but given that he received a negative reaction to this first attempt I doubt he will be trying it again. But if he does it wouldn't bother me
 
It's important to understand that 99% of your viewers watch you because they think you're funny, and so attempting to offload being funny onto a bunch of videos compiled by discord trannies isn't going to go over well with your audience. Not even Twitch chat liked this (that's saying a lot) and the YouTube comments are filled entirely with people dunking on how shit it was.

In that case, maybe THEY should have been told to move on with their fucking lives, not the people who wrote "these videos mid" in the comments.

Kinda felt it was bad taste to include a mandaloregaming meme in the YLYL, sure it's just a game clip with a vine boom but there is no denying it being a mandalore meme, hell chat was yelling Mandy when it came up. Maybe next time don't include a clip by a guy who defamed and tried to destroy the career of the person watching it. That and with just how impressively unfunny most of it was makes my schizo mind think people where trying to intentionally ruin the segment but than I remember it's modern vinesauce discord trannys and accept there just that embarrassing and retarded.

Not everyone is as autistically knowledgeable of the mandalore shit with vinny. People were constantly bringing him up during the Cabela streams for example.

I don't really get why people are sperging out about the YLYL streams of all streams. It wasn't anything to write home about but it was also one of the largest sunday streams in awhile so by all metrics it was a success. If people want to bitch it should be about the Android games since half of them didn't even work.

Saying "Sure, it was bad, but it wasn't that bad" over and over is still admitting it was bad. Ghostbusters 2016 isn't 'that bad' either, but it's still genuinely an awful movie on so many levels. Deflecting the criticism by damage controlling with viewer numbers for something like this just makes the corporate-like cock sucking even more apparent to me, and pointing out Vinny said he (likely reluctantly) personally enjoyed this, doesn't negate what he said at the end: "Chat, you gotta' step it up. If we ever do this again and you're gonna' submit stuff - Chat, *glances at the camera* I need you to up your game. You can definitely submit funnier stuff than that."
