I don't think it's eating him up inside that much, but it's not hard to imagine his lack of patience got the best of him in this situation, that he willfully chose to justify a financial choice via. engaging in petty internet slap fights, then weeks later he'll talk about not needing anyone's validation for media he appreciates (but will still go on to justifying the tired "Boot, u liek (X), butt nut (Y), y u no blay/wuhch?" question (2:20:47)
Ironically, he talked about the internet lacking nuance during discussions a few days prior to the PS5 thing. (2:09:40)


He's emotional like all humans too, I get that, but his hypocrisy can be irritating when he gets all down to Earth "Peace & Love" cynical, then goes "Old man yells at cloud" mode a couple days later. Props to him for treating people like people online, but it's clear he's frustrated by not getting quality discussions out of it that he wants from people who aren't close to him and his tolerance level for bullshit is waning the older he gets.

Haven’t been on this thread in awhile, glad to see it still thriving to some extent.

I’ll say, Vinny really has become the antithesis of who used to pride himself as, which is not being a sellout with his streams in the past year alone imo. Like, when did he start befriending random ass vtubers, and why are 90% of the guests on his “and friends” streams so insufferable? As someone that’s watched Vinesauce since the summer of 2010, it’s not surprising, but still kinda sad to see Vinny doing reaction videos for clicks & constantly reference Jerma or some other random youtuber he did a collab stream with— even though he was adamant for years that he didn’t want the stream to get big and didn’t pander to his chat so often. Sorry for making such a gay ass post, but I miss /V/inesauce and Spacebat when he was a streamer on the team even though he was 100% a wild schizo.
 
I still think Joel is better than Vinny, and both are the reasons why I still watch Vinesauce today. Every other people over at Vinesauce are completely boring as hell
 
A little off topic but considering this thread is the only place on the site that has mentioned Grayfruit, and the apparent overlap with Vinesauce viewers, is he dating a tranny? This Bella person that appeared in his streams starting last year sounds very masculine and squeaky but I can't tell if its troon voice or just rough voice

You can hear them speak in this around 4 minutes in, which I think is the first appearance.

If its a tranny then its not an attention whoring one since I can't find any socials and nobody is saying anything about them being trans, but when I hear the voice and they get louder it reeks of squeaky troon.

I'm going to sperg for a bit so just bear with me here:

I feel you, man. I miss the cynical, world-hating, nicotine addict that was so low in life that he advertised himself on 4chan. I didn't start watching some shady stream on a crunchy website just to now tune into to tranny of the week every thursday on twitch. One of the main reasons I made a KF account to start posing here was because I missed the old fans & chatroom so much.

I get that he's probably happier now and less depressed. That's good! I don't hate that about this post 2021/hiatus Vinny. He has, however, lost his edge - for good, I think- and that's a bummer.

Not to say that things shouldn't be changing and growing in the 13 years that Vinesauce has been around, but a part of what made the streams great up until early 2016 or so was that Vinny was more hands on with the community and was more in tune of what kind of audience he was cultivating during those first few years of streaming. Even when Tomodachi Life blew up and the Tumblr viewers started piling in and began kinning him, Vinny was pretty quick to call those viewers weird and denounce that stuff. Once he started backing away from the community and let his mods/other community members monitor the Subreddit, Discord, etc. more closely, a lot of those earlier viewers from 4Chan and adjacent /v streams started to dip because of how different (and younger) the newer audience had become, and how Vinny seemed to cater more towards what that younger audience wanted out of him.

Whether losing that earlier audience was for better or worse can be its own debate depending on who you ask, but personally, I'd rather take the brony-posting in Chatango with 600 viewers over a 3.5k viewer Twitch chat spamming the same 3 emotes and "jokes" over the course of 3 hours. But hey, Speeny is making some bank and seems to be getting on pretty well by the looks of it, even if it means he still picks terminally online women to sleep with. Speaking of, does someone have a link to a working archive of the allegations document? I tried going back on the thread to find one since the original Google doc got taken down, but none of the archive links in the thread are working for me.

The audio has always sounded real to me. No, GeePM nor 8BitBrody were not voice acting to be Vinny. No, AI was not nearly as good at mimicking vocal cadence and tone back in 2021 as it is now. Yes, the audio is spliced because it says in the document itself that it was done for brevity. Brevity shouldn’t have been taken with any recordings UNLESS there was extremely sensitive info that could doxx people that are completely unrelated to the situation. And no, Vinny wouldn’t sound the same in a phone call to one woman versus how he would sound streaming to thousands of people, because streaming requires more vocal projection and animation than a casual phone call would, and he wouldn’t have a vocal compression over the phone like he does with his stream mic. Assuming these calls happened via Snapchat, these calls were definitely recorded from an adjacent device to avoid Snapchat notifying Vinny that the call was being recorded directly from the phone— which also means that the call quality itself would’ve been less clear anyway, since Snapchat’s call function sounded worse than a standard call on iPhone or Android a few years ago.

Not sure what other counterpoints were made about the audio apart from what I addressed already, but I think a lot of people leaned on the audio being AI-generated when a majority of those programs were still in their infancy, and no one ever came forward with their own AI Vinny phone call of a similar quality to prove the simplicity of falsifying his voice. Sorry for beating a dead horse here with a long post, but I’ve always found it interesting that people were quick to deny the audio, even though the arguments people were making to prove it was fake weren’t strong either.

you're right, it's like he's trying to be what he swore to not become. in his case it would probably be the chameleon effect. he's bascially "adapting" to the new internet culture and the mainstream side of things to "fit in" and to be "more popular" and how some might say "to be hip" (i.e befriending random ass vtubers because vtubers are apparently "in" when it comes to the streaming scene)(they're just soulless imo).
vinny should not pander to the retards in his chat because he will sell out.

truth. i'm happy that he's now less depressed but he needs to stop pandering to mentally challenged trannies and bpd-chans and i'll guarantee you that his streams will get better. he just needs to show his true self.
 
Okay. After re-reading the google doc with the lens of Vinny not being "cancelled" anymore, I have a couple of things to point out. Sperg incoming.

1. Odd Behaviors
If what he is quoted as saying and doing in the paragraph sections of the doc (not the audio recording), he's just... awkward?
"After we laid in bed for a while, it was getting late and he wanted to stream, so he drove me to the station to go home. He made casual conversation with me. He told me the history of the area we were in. He told me he likes the combination of dark hair and light skin, like how he has. He asked if my parents are still together. Before I left, he kissed me goodbye."
This paragraph, in particular, stood out to me. If what I am reading is true & not embellished (which it most likely is not), then it seems like he has committed the crime of having parents who never got him diagnosed for Asperger's.

2. Screenshots & Emails.
I find it really, really hard to believe that the man that went to college for English uses the term "creeperinos" in any form besides making fun of neckbeards who actually say that shit. The last sets of emails shown in person 4's story characterize Vinny as a man who is careful about who he hangs around with and a has grown a bit paranoid in response to social media comments. (Note: if I was semi-famous, I also would be paranoid. Didn't he have a stalker?) The last email attached is the woman's email to Vinny a year later. She ends it with a marvel-level line of
"Well... That's a huge weight off my chest!"
I also wouldn't respond to that shit.

It may read like a fanfic but there is a good chance that Vinny does actually type like that to women he is trying to "rizz up".

Semi-related to the topic of Vinny sexting fangirls, Ryan Magee of SuperMega is being outed for the exact same thing among the other things SuperMega is getting dragged through the dirt for at the moment. Granted Ryan sexted fans whilst in a long-term, monogamous (at least, his ex-girlfriend of six years was under this impression for good reason) relationship but a comment on one of the many threads going on in r/SuperMega made me think of the parallels these two situations have.
