He has said many times he just doesn't like the ideas of having people working in his stuff because they might do something that isn't up to his standard.
I can relate and respect that from an artistic/creative perspective. It has nothing to do with being a control freak, although working for him would sound like hell, it's more about giving it that special flavor that makes it unique when compared to everyone elses stuff... basically being original and expressing yourself.

I like Vinnies streams, but boy does he fucking suck at every videogame. It's not "romhack difficulty" it's you playing like shit.

Nevermind the romhack sucks.

Personally I prefer streamers who just play normally, I only follow a few 'skill' players because I just like the fun aspect of gaming, too much 'sweat' is worse than a bad player for my enjoyment.

It's true that sometimes vinny's play is bad enough to get him labeled as a journalist, but this time it was obviously the hack being janky, which is fair since it is alpha as fuck still, the trailer probibly made him think there was enough to showcase. cool concept though.

Sometimes it's funny when Vinny plays like shit. I love to watch his streams of Castlevania 3, lot to laugh at and he manages to make it through before it gets embarrassing.

He's definitely had help on his videos before - I've seen SuperWiiBros08 credited on a couple of his official highlights. But I agree that his standards are extremely high, which is why his highlights take so long but are consistently good whenever he uploads them.

Someone mentioned the mini-highlights channel, which I do think is very good and does its best to mimic his style, but those highlights definitely don't have the same comedic punch as Joel's official ones. So I can see why he would prefer to stick to just himself and maybe one or two trusted friends as editors.

Would you rather Joel consistently stream for 4+ hours once a week forever or his current "schedule" where he'll sometimes stream a few days/weeks in a row somewhat consistently anywhere between 2 hours to 18 hours per stream and then just randomly fuck off for weeks/months at a time with no explanation?

Honestly, I think he'd be miserable adhering to a set schedule, even if that schedule was as light as "once a week." He has always been very inconsistent with his streaming times, just like with video uploads, but he's definitely been streaming a lot less lately compared to the last few years. I think he's probably got other stuff going on, so streaming is taking a backseat.

Vinny's obliviousness drives me up the wall at times, but you're right that there's some fun to be have in that kind of chaos. I'm also willing him to cut him slack since he's not some salty cuck who blames the games for his fuck-ups.

eh maybe im misremembering but i felt there has been times he's been on the verge of doing that

"call me Kirbacado" vin, no! :story:
Kirbo eat game looks pretty cute tho

Fucking hell. This isn't something I ever expected but here it is:

Something I always wanted to do after that goon creepypasta but couldn't be arsed to hunt down an ancient mostly lost series of maps and/or wrangle a bunch of other autists to help me.

I've heard Vinny bring this up on occasion but I have no idea how true it is: Do people seriously get annoyed when he talks about classic rock (especially The Beatles) and Star Wars or is that just a meme he invented? I really like classic rock so I find his discussion of it to be interesting as I admittedly know little about the 'lore'. I don't care about Star Wars, though.

It looks like he streamed 6 days ago, only problem is the guy takes his time with uploading his streams to YouTube.

Personally I find it annoying because he only ever discusses classic rock bands that made the top 20 charts. Its boring to listen him discus the same overly publicized bands all the time.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, when he played the San Andreas remake he was quite surprised how good the soundtrack is, but he didn't know Faith No More, or at least their song Epic.

By the way, does anyone know where that Snoic Generatans game came from? It seems to have appeared out of the ether from pure spite and hatred, so it's entirely possible someone made that out of self loathing AND to make Vinny hate himself.

I absolutely despise how he refuses to step out of his comfort zone when it comes to music. He listens to guys like Fantano and others, but openly admits to refusing to listen to any new music besides "what he already likes".

Which makes this all that more bizarre...........

The more I think about it, it honestly feels Vinny is one of those people that absolutely can't stand change in any way, shape, or form. He only listens to music from old bands and the musicians from that era that still do stuff. He has a certain jadedness to most modern games as opposed to ones from his childhood, even going as far as to be THOSE people that hate when they make any minor changes in remasters/remakes. And most of the media he does follow is once again just stuff he remembers enjoying when he was young. Like there is thinking things used to be so much better when you were younger, and then there is refusing to move along with the times.

my autism can sympathize with that, but yeah i agree with vinny being afraid of change, its not just new games though, his attitude also extends to old games he hasn't played. The fact that Silent Hill 1 happened was miracle since days before he was saying he probably wouldn't play it

Most changes in modern remakes have been for the worse. Preservation is the most important thing, not people who had no involvement in the original coming in and trying to do it "right"
While stuff like the FF7 Remake do come to mind, I'm more talking about more lightweight remakes that at most change the music, graphics, and MAYBE change a gameplay aspect people openly complain about.
