Also, does anyone else find Red Vox a bit creepy? What I mean by that is all the mentions of ex-lovers and shit. Like, say what you will about basic optimistic happy lyrics, but at least it can't be traced explicitly back to you dating and failing multiple times, and if Vinny didn't want that connection; why write the lyrics that way? For a guy who doesn't like it when other bands do that shit, he sure does like it himself. I knew Vinny had problems, but Jesus Christ, his music reveals so much about him, and I don't like it. Working at a New York Bank really fucks you up.

i don't really find it that creepy. it's not uncommon for a songwriter to use a real life event from their life as a backdrop to a song's lyrics, which he almost certainly does. as a musician you have the liberty to refuse to talk about the individual song's meanings to encourage the listeners to come up with their own interpretation of the music, and that's something he takes full advantage of.

if any overly analytical autist discovers a connection, he can just chalk it up to "that's just your opinion man" and leave it at that for the sake of his own peace of mind. literally everyone who has heard I'll Know knows that he's writing about the sex allegations anyway, no matter how much he denies it.
 
I have a somewhat autistic obsession with watching things in chronological order which is my least favorite aspect of Vinny's new prerecorded arrangement. It's also slightly annoying to watch a "new" video where he talks about something he already talked about on a stream a few days prior.

Also Vinny: writes albums full of songs very literally about his personal life lol

I guess I really must be more autistic than I thought, cause that seems like a really dumb idea and really stupid in general. It doesn't even take 10 minutes to make the connection; it takes like, 5 seconds. If Vinny can make the same connection with other artists CLEARLY whining about their sex life, how is he any different? He's not. Let's not pretend he is.

it is pretty dumb. just something that's cemented itself into the art form that's giving vinny enough leverage to write about these things. i guess in a way it's the one and only way he's comfortable discussing it; except it's not much of a discussion and more of a vent if anything.

that, and we're all autistic enough to know enough about vinny to make these connections. it doesn't help that back in the day he'd get extremely personal on the old vinesauce forums to the point where nowadays he's probably glad that most of that stuff is gone forever (which i find to be a massive shame by the way. then again, i doubt that forum would be anything other than a cesspool nowadays given the type of audience vinny has now).

i actually quite enjoy his davy's grey writing, as gaudy and simple as it is. it's less centered around himself and more around characters that he comes up with. less personal, but not the total meme that blood bagel is. definitely not better than red vox musically though in my opinion

I haven't listened to the newest song but I really haven't noticed him whining about his love life on anything on Realign and beyond. (Another Light I'm struggling to recall any lyrics like that too)

Is my comprehension that bad?

I'd say the only time I have noticed it was on What Could Go Wrong and that album was released forever ago.
 
Oof neon abyss, that's a game I never would have expected Vinny to play. Since there is shit like the Trump pet called "Grabber".

I have the game, it's actually not too bad. Just most of the items seem to do nothing, and the le funny references. I do like the items appearing on the character like Isaac though.

Also I get that it's to be expected, but JFC is he good at literally any game?

Nvm he's using aim assist lmao no wonder.

should be burned at the stake for being ok at zeld 2. -seeing him play it once a year makes me want to play it but then actually playing it sucks, something about the rhythm of that gameplay I simply cannot fathom despite loving the vibe as a spectator
