i used to think it was just the smoking, his mic and him being a massive debbie downer back then, but a while back (i think this was around the time he got a new computer) he started a stream and didn't have his audio set up properly. no compressor, no gate or anything of the sort. he sounded almost exactly like he did 10 years ago. i guess he just never upgraded beyond his headset mic.
i can't find the clip right now, but it truly is all in the audio setup. probably the same case for joel, not counting the fact that he had to shed his accent over the years.

Does anyone else remember that Desert Bus game Joel played during a charity called DOSert Bus? It was part of a unuploaded VineOS destruction that Joel mentioned briefly on a recent stream, but a tweet says that he played it by itself a year later. I remember that stream only cause there was a part where he and chat got so bored that chat started spamming glitched text.

I also wonder about the restream of Alien Isolation that he never followed up on, never uploaded, and seems to have been memory holed. Only notable part I remember is the game using oof.wav in an opening cutscene and Joel's reaction to that. There was a clip of that on Twitch, but no luck finding it.

Yeah, I think he failed a few hours in, and also showed disturbing imagery during BRB while playing slowed down "Eye of a Tiger". Can't find the VOD, sadly.

I was actually surprised to hear him bring this up cause as someone who doesn't watch star wars but has spent enough time on social media to see shipping drama I always assumed this was just fujoshi getting mad that their gay ship wasn't canon. I guess if a relatively average straight guy like Vinny points it out it wasn't just a fujoshi thing.

Oh yeah, absolutely not. It never is. China's government HATES gays, blacks, muslims; essentially everyone; and also American iconography. They even tried to remove the Statue of Liberty in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but because Sony still has some Japanese blood in them they channeled the spirts of their Imperial ancestors and told the Chinese government to fuck off and kept it in. Still ended up being one of the best selling movies of all time, though that won't teach Hollywood or any other big companies that China's money isn't worth it with how much of a leash they keep you on.

Vinny got a bit mind broken by Episode IX. What a godawful trilogy, I will never not be impressed how Disney managed to kill such a golden egg laying goose in less than 5 fucking years after acquiring it. George Lucas truly won in the end.

While I do agree that the trilogy is dogshit (I legit have reoccurring nightmares that boil down to me hating Rise of Skywalker), I personally feel Vinny lets these movies effect him way more than they should. Idk, kinda comes off like his media depth is kinda shallow and he has nothing else to look forward to.

To be fair, what even is there to look forward to? Movies and primetime fucking suck, from what I've seen, aside from the occasional decent thing.

I highly doubt he really cares that much anyway, he's probably just hamming it up for the stream and because he probably has nothing else to talk about which happens when you need to entertain an audience for more than 10 years.
 
It's more like it's one of the many reasons why Vinny has a distaste for Disney.
He never really watched it growing up and hates a large chunk of new content they produce. Not to mention having them ruin his favorite franchises.
It was most likely one of those boiling point reasons, which he knows chat would agree with him on even if it's not the main reason he hates Disney.

Playing Devil's advocate, but was Poe even ever HINTED at being gay? Like I feel this was just something shipper fags just wanted to happen and got mad it didn't happen. Like Poe as a character was already as deep as a puddle, what would have been accomplished if they did it? Also reminder it's BECAUSE of shipper fags that J.J felt pressured to include that God awful last minute kiss scene. Which was so bad Disney had to retcon it in the books as being a kiss of "thanks".
 
Oscar Isaac, Poe's actor, heavily hinted at liking the idea of his not being straight and said he would have happily entertained it in the films. The wording they used for his previous love interest was even deliberately ambiguous, and either he or Finn's actor said they read their lines as romantic rather than platonic. I assume that's where everyone got the idea but it never really congealed into anything substantial.
