Whenever Joel starts talking about something on youtube, the mentioned videos get filled with reference to Vinesauce. What I don't understand, why is there a random unrelated comment about effeminate men by the Pit Boys themselves? Is this directed at Joel specifically? Did they see a photo of him with the long hair and thought "Nah, we don't want no sissy boys like him associated with our meat"?

It's either (or both) of the following:
1. It is... LE PROBLEMATIC. Apparently (at least from what fellow /v/irgins told me), some more sensitive types were complaining about the psychological abuse being presented too realistically. If Joel's aware of that, he might try to avoid it to not upset the flakier viewers and cause additional controversy. That might be the reason why he avoided LISA series as well.

2. Much more likely, it's just Joel being Joel. Dude has a habit of doing everything on whim and rarely making any plans and sticking to them. He might one day play it or completely forget about it, we'll never know.

It's 2, he said he was gonna do it when he felt like it and that it could take forever.
The toby fox giga autists kept asking over and over and over again every stream and it probably pissed him off and decided to delay it until he felt like playing it again

I remember Joel mentioning about a year ago how he might do some collaboration with BBQ Pit Boys, but nothing came out of it as far as I know.
From this combined information we can deduct that Pit Boys were gonna feature him on one of their streams but then saw his long hair and decided that he is a sissy who's not worthy of the Pit.
 
I was watching the Zelda 2: PC port thing Vinny was streaming,
and I kinda cringed a little when he saw a short platforming section in the first palace and was like.

"WOAH! What is this...Romhack levels of difficulty spike!? You should include a warning about how this is for, experts only or something haha."

Like Vinny, You cleared it first try and got the heart piece. Chill out man it really wasn't that hard.

Yeah, I don't know what Vinny's problem was that first stream. Nothing added to the game seems that hard so far. I guess all those Mario romhacks and fangames he used to play have permanently skewed his view of fan made content.
