It feels like it could either be him referencing the video while weirdly drawing out the beginning of "need", or he almost had a flashback to Xbox Live but saved himself at the last second by turning it into a reference to that GMod video. Genuinely 50/50 chance.
 
So DaveKap mentioned Universal Basic Income in last night's stream. Honestly, I don't know enough about it to determine if it's some lofty impossibility or something that could be achieved if you reworked systems and reallocated a bunch of resources. Also Vinny mentioned Healthcare but let's be real; that's a fact. Healthcare fucking sucks here. Nothing controversial there, it's like saying the sky is blue.
 
Vinny playing card games is literally the most boring shit on the planet (unless it's something interesting like Inscryption) so I'm always surprised when Vinny uploads a new card game video and people are like, "Yay, more card shit!" I mean, everyone likes different things but card game videos unironically put me to sleep and I always skip them or watch them in the background and pay maybe 1% attention.

It varies, I personally liked his Slay the Spire streams and they got me into the game but, I did not care for the bird card game. However, end of the day he's a variety streamer and he's made it pretty clear he wants to stream what he wants and not what chat dictates, and well clearly there exists an audience for the card games.

Vinny also made it clear he doesn't really care about numbers, (not like he really ever did in the first place it seems) guy has a home to himself in New York, and probably realistically could just cruise along off his Youtube channel. So end of the day he's just doing stuff he wants that makes him happy.
 
Man, that Zelda 2 remake looks awesome. I played through the original NES version recently and I wish I had just waited for that.
 
So what's your opinion on The Ditty of Carmeana? It got a chuckle out of me with a few bits, but I also was getting annoyed with the constant wacky 4th wall breaking meta "parody" humor. If it had more gameplay and less constant text based jokes it wouldn't have worn out its welcome so quickly for me I think. It would be much better if they had some kind of pacing. I also don't know if I want to see vin play anymore because I have a bad feeling it will start throwing in some lgbt/political "hot" takes.

I can't tell if some of the jokes are commentary on "wokeism" or just making fun of college kids "Thanks for respecting my pronunciation". Even if the game is "based", it doesn't change the fact that it's trying too hard.

I haven't watched the latest stream yet but I liked The Ditty of Carmeana demo streamed nearly a decade ago. I still remember the part where the character is playing basketball and Michael Jordon or whoever jumps out of nowhere to block the ball.

there's your answer, comedy needs room to breathe, othewise you get cracked magazine tier "parody" like "beatles? more like STINKles. lololol" Reminds me of the x files cd rom he played recently. It's OKAY but I'm not gufawing like it feels like the writers are picturing me doing.

Honestly in this case it was the voice acting that killed it, plus the retro-3d-pc-rpg vibe that the game is based on wouldn't be voice acted anyway, that didn't start to be a thing until later.

Honestly I thought it was really funny, a lot of nice gags in there. I WAS watching the stream while pulling an all-nighter, completely sleep deprived so it take that as you will.
