It's not that homes/apartments are terribly expensive, it's that getting one is absurdly difficult. There is often a years-long waiting list to get into a new place, and coupled with a lack of available units, it can seem nearly insurmountable to pick up and move. Joel has also stated he pays nearly nothing in rent, and utilities are included. I sincerely doubt he'd want to move even if the obstacles weren't present.

To put it plainly, this sucks.

Best plan would have to be installing soundproofing where he streams, then. I doubt it would end up being cheap.

That's not how that works, proper soundproofing would require to re-do the walls of the apartment, the little foam squares streamers use don't actually do any sound blocking on their own

Not what I meant - and you could make a little tiny room just for streaming in without re-doing anything, which is what the expense would come from.
 
Just remembered how GeePM committed internet seppuku, and laughed to myself.
Is there a Animal House-esque Where Are They Know for the accusers and virtue signalers? It's good that the allegations pretty much bounced off Vinny, but it'd be nice to find out if anyone else did a GeePM and went DFE-mode, or if they just noped the fuck out of a sinking ship and went back to business as usual.

Red Bard hasn't uploaded any new videos since, but it still active on twitter retweeting anime-related things. I assume the the others who accused him probably lost some subscribers or followers after they were found to be lying. I still found their motivation for it rather strange since people actually admire Vinny.
 
Man, Vinny would rather bang his head against a boss for 4 HOURS (and still not succeed) than try to change his approach. Can't complaint though it was pretty entertaining, 4 hours of pure dedication. Pus the Joel encouragement was hilarious.
