I don't think he's that depressed, I think its actually the streaming that has made him depressed and feel the need to hook up with random fangirls. He has a lot of normie irl friends and lives in New York with a bachelor's degree. I'm of the opinion his life might be better and more happy - a regular person with maybe a nice nerdy wife to share his interests and a white collar job, plus time to go on walks and feed ducks.

Not necessarily true. I remember, back in 2012/13, he always sounded depressed as fuck during streaming. But not because he was streaming, because he had been working his job that he hated all day before coming home to stream. He sounded genuinely happy for a while a few years ago while streaming, after he had quit his day job to stream full time. That was before his stream really blew up among the Tumblr crowd I think.

Seems like Vinny plans on streaming 3 times a week in the near future instead of 2. Says he's working his way up to doing more but streaming every single day again is not something he wants to do. I think a few days a week is fine.

Is anyone else starting to be afraid that Vinny's Elden Ring streams will become a colossal shitshow that he is gonna drop? Not because the game is going to be bad, in fact I'm quite hyped. But consider the following:

-It's an open world game that he might attempt to turn into a shitpost series like Skyrim and Cyberpunk rather than paying attention to the actual game, then get bored when he can't achieve many funni glitches or a big running gag like Shrimp Lady.
-It's much more Souls-adjacent than Sekiro or Bloodborne so he might have trouble with the gameplay and get discouraged
-It's much more Souls-adjacent than Sekiro or Bloodborne so he will have a lot more Souls fans complaining at him, which was a major reason he was turned off Souls the first time around

both Vinny and Joel do this shit all the time. I wish they would stop trying to make every single stream hilarious when in reality it just comes off as forced humor when it doesnt work out the way they were hoping it would
 
I'm already sick of Vinny playing Archeus and shitting on Pokemon and things about the game he doesn't like.

I'd been wondering to myself whether I should watch his PLA streams because I've been considering actually playing them myself as someone who'd been getting tired of the main pokemon formula but noticed other people who felt that way actually enjoy this game. The way you make it sound I guess that either way the stream would be tiresome to sit through.

Haven't watched Vinny's PLA videos yet either, but I've enjoyed it and would recommend it. Just be aware that it's got the Breath of the Wild issue of where you'll probably arrive at the conclusion of "I really like this and think it's a good new direction, but it is missing a few things and could really be something special with some polish". I have heard some people say its overly grindy, and I could definitely see that if you intend on playing it for hours of time at a day. But if you're like me and only intend to play it for maybe an hour or two a day, I've found it to be just fine.
 
Meanwhile Joel have been active as ever, doing several >6 hour streams last week. And he doesn't seem that tired after that. But then again, it's Joel, and he can still fuck off for a few weeks and then return as nothing happened.
 
Are Vinny's newest Skyrim episodes fun to watch/have in the background? I don't really know anything about Skyrim but I'm looking for some good background streams.

Right, there is such an extraordinarily massive backlog of streams to choose from as well, I sometimes just click on random shit and leave it on, if it's in the background it's not like I really need to care about it.
