On a recent art showcase Joel accidently showed a piece of art that parodied a semi-famous Newgrounds porn game. Joel being Joel didn't know what the hell it was referencing until Chat started going nuclear to which he stated "Don't do it again".

This is the art in question:

Not really major drama but another classic Vinebooru blunder, still better than the furry porn that use to be posted on the booru.
LMFAO HOW DO THESE GET PAST THE MODS

LMFAO HOW DO THESE GET PAST THE MODS
The booru is barely moderated. A while ago it became obvious that it wasn't moderated at all and it was flooded with porn leading to a temporary shutdown IIRC. Now I think they police it a little more, or at least have some auto moderation to prevent spam, but the booru doesn't exactly seem to be near and dear to anyone's heart in the Vinesauce team anymore

I've been marathoning Vinesauce for quite some time, and I'm surprised by just how good Vinny and Joel's videos are several years apart and later. There wasn't a single video that missed the mark, unlike other streamtubers. Even Joel's old gmod roleplay videos are still pretty damn funny.

There's definitely some aspects of them that haven't aged very well, but on the whole I agree. I can go back to pretty much any random highlight video from 2013 and find it just as enjoyable as a highlight video from this year, if not more so. I'd argue that there are some editing choices that have aged particularly poorly, though. Joel is a great editor and I think most of his choices hold up well, with the exception of some very 2012 meme inserts here and there, but you can really tell when Vinny made an editing decision because it's almost always the wrong one. For instance, I'm certain he was the one who had the idea for these god awful (and mercifully short lived) Adult Swim-style bumpers.

I definitely find Vinny less funny nowadays as I really think some of the newer memez ("speen" especially) feel much more forced than the (comparatively) more natural ones of the past, but he still has his really good moments. Conversely, I think Joel has just all around improved, since we get a sense of humor that's (mostly) the same, but with his teenage obnoxiousness scaled WAY back. His recent Halloween streams are definitely some of my favorites he's ever done.

On the flipside that attempt at the CotM arena and failing to complete even with save states was one of the funniest things Binyot has done in ages. I could taste the salt and despair through my speakers.

I actually hate when Vinny tries to be funny, and you're right it IS forced, I will say that cock injured was pretty funny in the moment, but got beaten to death.

I will actively avoid vods of games he plays where I can see potential for him to ham it up. Which is why I love Vinesauce in October and more recently, the no chat/youtube videos. It's waaaaaay dialled back. And I'm sure I've mentioned previously somewhere, why I hold the SoTC remake streams in pretty high regard, it's mostly just chill chatting with nice atmosphere.

Anyone else having a Stroke with Vinny playing Inscryption. Just finished Part 3 and holy shit, does he seriously need chat to hold his hands, the dude thought you needed to Sacrifice ONLY squirrels and ended up doing a pure bone deck bashing his head against a brick wall till it fell down.

It's really baffling because in other card based games he does just fine without much of chat input. I think the problem here is that this one needs a bit more strategy and since Vinny isn't very well known for being patient and thinking things through, he just wants to brute force every single encounter. Just look how much he depends on one single overpowered card to cheese some fights.

Amusingly, he mentions a couple of times that he knows people are giving him shit for playing so bad yet he still refuse to take a second to think his next move and instead just do whatever and fail over and over again lol
It's a shame though, that game looks actually fun and allows for a very chill commentary stream but watching someone fail for 30 minutes straight on the same opponent, that isn't even that hard, can get boring.

I think I'm going to have to get it at some point, and have been debating if I should stop watching his stream so I don't spoil more of it for myself.

I'm atleast hoping Vinny decides to have chat around for Part 4, or atleast be able to understand how the game works for Act 3 with the whole battery thing, he atleast understood it a bit during Act 2 since it does remove bones and sacrificing and breaks it down to two mechanics.

though knowing Vinny I got the bad feeling hes gonna just upgrade cards without reading the sigals, or completely fail a basic puzzle needing to progress.

He won't improve and even if chat tells him how to do something he'll just forget because he plays games a week+ apart.

Inscryption was good, but the last part got kinda meh. Totally lost me at the gay ARG shit at the end making me have to look at a 20 page document made by some redditors just to slightly understand the story. Atleast in the Hex and pony island it wasn't THIS contrived

This is the problem with pretty much all of Vinny's bits - there's this short lived moment of genuine comedy, but then it gets parroted so much that all the funny gets beaten to a pulp. This has happened to Joel here and there - Grand Dad and BonziBuddy being the obvious examples - but for whatever reason I feel like his jokes tend to persist much longer before they move toward the unfunny zone. (Maybe because Vinny's memes tend to be things he himself says ad nauseaum, whereas Joel's tend to be comments/jokes ABOUT him made by other people?) I still like "Joel gets meaner every day."

Speaking of Joel, I gotta say I absolutely fucking loved his Yume Nikki stream. I'm gutted that I missed that one live, but the VOD was still really entertaining, and I did manage to catch the rest of his spooky streams after it. I'm hoping he does finish it, because there's quite a bit of really good stuff he missed out on, but do we think he'll actually continue playing it like he promised, or is this gonna be yet another Down Under Dan situation?

Every time Joel says he's going to play something again it's, at best, a 50% chance and even then it might not be for months if not years until he gets around to it.

Vinny streamed Mario Party with Ross, Arlo and Shesez. He was saying how Shesez asked him if he wanted to play and the first person he could think of to join them was Ross. I always enjoyed Vin's collabs so Im glad he's doing them again.

This wasn't Vinny's fault. He did the best he could with this trash.
I don't want to play Devil's Advocate but it kinda is Vinny's fault for being too nice.

Also, as a little side note I was watching the Phasmophobia video Vinny did the other day and Mono said something like, "I read this green text story, wait maybe I shouldn't talk about that here" or something like that.
