I'll say this here since Vinny is playing it and I'll get downsneeded to hell anywhere else on the site, but the Pragmata drama is insane to me. No, not everybody who plays the game is a pedophile. That's a retarded statement to make. I haven't played the game but there doesn't seem to be anything sexual about it in the slightest. It just seems like a cute father-daughter relationship game, which is an extremely popular dynamic that's been in tons of games.

Sure there are creeps out there that are going to want to fuck the kid, but that happens with literally any media featuring children.

It's gone from "acknowledge the worst parts of a fandom or piece of media" to "even if you acknowledge AND denounce it you're still part of the problem". The only thing I think about re: Pragmata is its superficial similarity to Donkey Kong Bananza, although I'd be willing to bet that Pauline is a more fleshed out character than the robot child is. Better singer, too.
 
Not everybody who is interested in the game is a pedophile but you sure don't have to scroll very far on any official Capcom tweet about the game to find them.

You see that with *literally* any game featuring child characters. There's nothing about Pragmata itself that makes it especially egregious.
 
This discussion gives me flashbacks to when A Hat in Time came out. That game was almost impossible to discuss on /v/ because half the threads would be deleted because of cp spam. LoliCons being creeps definitely isn't new, maybe there's more of it now or more with Pragmata specifically? It's hard to tell, but it definitely isn't new.

There's just more of everything now. More people posting more actively on the Internet, more pedos sexualizing child characters, more people claiming that every piece of media with a child character in it is a CSAM, more people arguing about it on all sides. Plus everything is being sensationalized, everything that happens today is the most important thing to ever happen (until it gets completely forgotten tomorrow).
 
Does Vinny hit himself when he gets pissed or excited sometimes? It's rare when it happens and this is the only example I can think of atm (volume warning holy fucking shit). It sounds like distant slapping, like he's hitting the palms of his hands with his fingers or something. Has he ever explained what that is? Other than puking over Mario Kart when he was a bab, I doubt he's that much of sperg to physically beat himself up.

The comic book history(?) segment was fucked in the most schadenfrued way. Vinny never doing anything himself and relying on random people to send himself stuff seems like a horrible idea.

It started with the history of comic code authority which was just felt like him reading wikipedia and felt like an excuse to show fetish comics for a laugh. OK weird but fine. Then silly heroes and moments like Joker's Boner and Big Wheel and modern day stuff like that fart fetish smell Harley Quinn Comic. You know stuff you'd expect from a funny pizza pasta man. Then it just goes onto the history of WWII propaganda and superheroes punching Hitler/Nazis. Social issues like black people in old comics which seemed to make Vinny hilariously uncomfortable cause he mentioned how he doesnt normally ever talk about this on stream. Drug addiction. Drug addiction. Then he just skips ahead and sees Obama and goes to funny characters again and ends up reading about the fucking transvestite street named after a drag queen Doom Patrol (who isnt even a tranny despite tranny flag spam.) Then I fell asleep so it might have actually gotten worse I dont know.

I know Vinny does those segments about cryptids, aquatic monsters, deep sea noises etc. But this was more a like a fusion at that and someone trying to prove why 'Hitler being punched by Captain America in the 1940s and that black guy yelling at Green Lantern is actually the same as modern day comics you fucking chud.' Eithet that or it was just some complete innocent super autistic guy over explaining his hyperfocus made if who was that tone deaf. Either way lmao going from Harley Quinn farting to that black people shit was hilarious. I cant wait to read the youtube comments. Weirdest segment ever in a long time for me. The history of comics is just hitler blacks and fart fetishes apparently.

Those Powerpoint segments are probably his weakest streams yet. I harken back to that one stream about 'Toys that do nothing' when seeing them and get second-hand embarrassment because these streams come off like show and tell for grade schoolers. What happened to that Wheel of the Weird thing where he'd watch bizarre infomercials and such? That was more entertaining and it was chill enough for him to be on autopilot for than lazily reading of stuff for him to read. Also you just know a bunch of degens in his chat are getting off to the fetish/gross out smut when it's shown.
