In regards to Joel, he's just one of those streamers that people either hate or love. Interestingly enough, most people I've met who hate him seem to be from Western Europe while those who do like him are mainly Eastern Europeans. Some deeper connection or correlation could be drawn from that observation but the most simple answer is probably that he's too "Americanized" and that pisses them off. The entire concept of YouTube and Streaming has been the "fast food" of entertainment since day one so trying to act like the man is defiling some artistic medium is kind of dumb. They all act like that in one way or another. If one really wanted the highest-quality leisure they would be reading books 24/7.
Lots of discussions on E-Celebs turn into this autistic quality measuring contest which is fine and needed to ensure we don't get 100% garbage all the time but it easily goes too far and has people getting worked up over things that are best not given the effort of remembering. If Joel or Vinny do start going completely off the deep end and 100% no longer appeal to me then the only thing one can do is go "oh well" and move on. Anything else and you risk becoming one of those people on r/rantgrumps who can't get past the fact it's no longer 2014. There are a lot of worthwhile things to devote yourself to and A-logging random internet people probably isn't one of them no matter how fun it may be.

He says on a thread to specifically talk about a group of people, on a fucking gossip site which goal is to archive and discuss groups of people doing something stupid LOL if you were being ironic, that'd be a fine posting but that wall of text suggests me that you are serious, as in seriously stupid.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand.
As I'm writing this, the Jerma's House Flipper 2 Tournament just started, which makes me wonder what everyone else opinion is on this trend of Vinny being more social with his streams.
Personally I don't mind them that much as long as there aren't many people involved because that turns so fast into a shitfest, maybe just 2 or 3 people max. Also, watching/listening to Vinny and Joel playing together is always fun tho.

My only issue with Vinny and collaboration streams is who he sometimes has on with him. I have said before I do not like the people who blow smoke up his ass like a fucking chimney because I cannot laugh at positivity or someone having their ego stroked.
Do not get me wrong, Vinny does deserve praise and I do not have any real ill will against him but it is far more entertaining when he is being bullied à la Limes having no integrity.

He has to know that his "& Friends" videos and streams perform badly for a reason... right? His mods are complete cringe. They also are cringe in other places, too. I just saw one mod have a complete autism meltdown over the recent "Does Vinny like ___?" posts (that started as a genuine question about fallout then became actually funny) on the reddit.

As a certified "Vinny & Friends" expert here's a quick tier list.
1. Collabs between the remaining active OGs (Vinny, Joel, Limes, Rev) plus Mike. These are usually great no matter how much you like or dislike any participant on their own.
2. Semi-related 'tubers like Ross or Hackerling and unrelated or one-off people, like pretty much everyone who ever appeared in a VR stream. Unlike the rest of Kiwifarms I don't explode into uncontrollable incel rage when hearing a female voice, so I find Hacker, Giwi, Snuffy and more recently one-offs like Alfhilde and Geega pretty enjoyable. Somehow all of them act more bearable streaming with Vinesauce people than on their own.
3. Vinny's tranny janny team, who need to please kill themselves as soon as possible. This means you in particular, Narry and DesertP. Even Johnny Fullsauce is toeing the line with his twitter takes that are usually mainstream-milquetoast slop.
Additional observations:
I wondered wtf happened to Rev but he's active regularly, he only stopped posting on the Vinesauce twitter account. I wonder why. Limes too, but it makes more sense for her to build her vtuber brand separately. What I don't like is how commercialized she has gotten, shilling fucking Gamersupps and plushies. But then again Vinny has been making an effort to feed the algorithm with facecam and video titles and such, maybe they're all feeling the economic heat.
Meanwhile dorb and imakuni stubbornly continue to use the Vinesauce account lmao.

Every Vtuber shills fucking Gamersupps now, and many seem to be genuinely hooked on the stuff which is honestly kinda disturbing. Like Jesus Christ, do you really need a constant supply of energy drinks just to sit your ass in front on a PC and play games or chat with people? I know they pay well, but holy shit eat some actual food and get some exercise.

I know I am derailing the current discussion of old Vinesauce clips but I have a gut feeling the 19 year old Vinny had convention sex with a few years back may cause issues for the vine man relatively soon. I am saying this as her X account is occasionally recommended to me and I just so happened to come across this:

He's mentioned before that he is very against spending all his time with one person/getting married. He's got a weird hang-up with relationships. I think I remember reading back on a 4chan thread that he might have been in one that was abusive(?). For someone as shy as himself, who obviously has some social anxiety/Asperger's and major insecurities, the convention hookups were his way of "getting out there". I don't think he even registered that it could be seen as a "power play"- In my opinion, he was just interested that somebody of the opposite sex was interested.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand
It's a shame that the Vinesauce crew and old brand died because I used to really enjoy the old crossover streams they did with each other. They all bounced off each other comedically really well, probably due to the fact they were already good friends with each other before deciding to broadcast their banter live. A problem that often comes up in the newer collab streams is that either the people Vinny brings on are not cut out to be streamers (his mods) or are essentially online work acquaintances who barely know each other. You can still be funny in that sort of situation, just not as consistently funny as you would be with individuals one knows really well. I just want one more Vinny, Joel, and Fred stream before they all retire is what I'm saying.

I actually quite enjoy the & Friends segments as long as someone like Ross, Jerma, Ster, Joel or Mike is there. The collab streams seem a lot more natural when he's playing with someone who's either a genuine friend of his or someone who doesn't treat him like the special needs kid because he happens to have a higher viewcount compared to the rest of the group.
Let's be honest, he's simply too socially retarded to settle down with a wife. If you want proof, look at the several grey alien puppets laid out to sit on his couch at all times, and the giant LOTR poster that covers an entire room wall. He's clearly a homebody who hates commitments, which isn't a bad thing. If he wants his eye candy he'll either fuck a fan again or graduate to banging fellow streamers instead. You know some of them have been begging to tickle his taint for a long time now anyway

I wouldn't go as far as saying retarded. Just super, super awkward. He can be a retard at times, but not constantly. Most likely was bullied growing up, so he grew into an awkward adult with his personality only encompassing nerdy things. I think he thinks the only "cool" thing about him is his music taste, which is why he brings it up often. He goes out to parties, goes to conventions, and other events. So, not a full social outcast.
But, yes, he will just continue to fuck anyone who gives him sexual attention (aka fans) and will most likely die alone. Honestly, it sounds like he's winning in life.
