i dont think he deleted it, i think it got auto purged due to twitch being twich, but he might have? even if he did its still on youtube
Nope, Twitch deletes VODs automatically after 60 days for partners. All his other videos are there.

He deleted it. Just odd, since it would autopurge on its own.

Curious if anyone archived that stream with the chat? Curious, because that was something to behold.

Multiple uploads of his statement are on YouTube, one I know had chat.

I still think it's such a weird series of events that Vinny's forced break due to the drama seems to have caused disenchantment with his streaming career in general. Like all it took was a break of a couple weeks to make him go "this format fucking sucks, what am I doing with my life"? I can relate insofar as I don't miss the livestreams or the chat at all, it loses its whole addictive appeal once you stop doing it for just a short time.
I'm praying for Sunday content to make a comeback soon however.
Not sure it's as much disenchantment with streaming as much as it is disenchantment with devoting one's whole life to streaming. The pause gave him time to look in the mirror, and I think he not only saw some flaws he wants to fix, but he also got scared and realized how a huge part of his life (streaming) could be taken from him so quickly and easily. That's why he's using his time now to focus on himself and those closest to him; internet points are temporary, family and friends are what matters.

I don't think him reaching this point is all that surprising; he's made it apparent in the past that he hates the idea of just being seen as an internet persona that could almost be confused for a fictional character. He's stated before that he doesn't care for people cosplaying as him, and it seems like he actively tries to avoid repeating anything that could be seen as a catchphrase. I think that's part of the reason that he now tries to avoid saying SPEEN - he doesn't want it to become known as FUNNY SPEEN MAN like how Joel became GRAND DAD GUY.

It's also worth nothing he's sung about existential stuff before, with Memento Mori being perhaps the most notable example:

"Could it be, the presence of memory
Is all we are, and all that we'll ever be?"

"And then I tell myself it's just so far away
Back to the old routine that fills my every day
Some pray the holy ghost will save them from the grave
But I know the cost of time and I've paid it all my life"

My interpretation: Vinny is getting older and doesn't want to just be remembered as something so temporary as a funny streamer man at the end of life

As ugly as this whole mess was, it appears that Vinny feels it was a kick he personally needed. It sounds like he's seeing a therapist (or at least getting good support from those closest to him) and is trying to rebalance his priorities in his life. Good for him.

Meanwhile I saw that Guru Larry's going to join the ranks of youtubers who sell plushies of themselves. Always found that sort of stuff weird.
Couldn't be worse than the Game Grumps furry body pillows.

How's the pre-recorded videos, anyways? I'm fiending for more Binty, but without his interaction with chat I worry it will feel off.
Then again, I'm aware 99% of Vinny's chat at any given time is literally meme reaction emotes.
As someone who likes live commentary but not live streams, it's great. I got sick of seeing chat become like a slot machine and just awful a lot of the time (see my post about the Super Mario 64 DS stream comment.) Vinny doing what he wants and when he wants makes this very much more enjoyable.

Vinny cracked a Freddy Got Fingered joke, I think he's getting back into the groove of things

Watching Vinny die in the same place over and over without a clue wasn't as fun as it sounds for me. As much as chat is a hellhole, the few people giving him clues or the whole answer without backsitting made some games go smoother.

"Point is, you may never forget but you have to at least- you have to at least get the fungal tests, and if there's no results you have to just move on and just never eat mushrooms again."

Hmm

man, that opening sequence of re8 is rough, i would have rage quit like a baby if it was me playing. chat would have been going absolutely mental on the back seating.

Damn that new video is rough, for once had me really wishing chat was around to point him in the right direction or just warn him about the difficulty modes. Hopefully that starting section doesn't sour the rest of the game too much for him because it really is great.

Also props to Johnny Fullsauce for the hilarious thumbnail as always.

I blame the relatively cryptic way to get that scripted sequence. It's never telegraphed that you have to go back to that building. Or are you expected to stay in there? Man, I don't know. Hopefully the game treats Beanyorp a little better in the future. If i were him, I would re-start on a lower difficulty in between the episodes. If he's going to change it, he should do it now while he's still pretty early in the game.
