Excellent for washing windows, works in small concentrations. Likely less than one part in twenty parts of water.
 
That smell lingers, particularly in clothing since there is no telling of it being body odor, mildew or something else.
How much are you using? Seems like way too much if the smell is lingering. It works great for me but it's in addition to detergent and a healthy amount of Dawn in my laundry. I've never had the smell stick around through the end of a wash, much less through drying. I pretty much use just enough to be a real splash from the gallon jugs I buy. As soon as I can see it's pouring out I'm tipping the jug up again. It really prevents the musty/mildew smell you can get on things like bath towels or sweaty clothes that have sat for a few days before washing. It's also a great solution if you ever forget to move clothes over to the dryer and they get the mildew smell. Quick wash with detergent and vinegar and the problem's solved.
