I recently hit 5k hours in TF2. Words cannot even begin to describe the amount of boredom I experience every single time I boot up that game. Every possible thing one could do in that game I have done 10x over. My own personal hell would be living in a 10x10' room with nothing but a PC that has TF2 installed on it for all of eternity. I am damned to a constant cycle of uninstalling the game, reinstalling it, rocket jumping for a few days, and completely wiping it from my PC again. The only shining ray of hope I cling to is the thought of finding a new game on Steam I can sink some time into.

Does anybody have any recommendations for new games on Steam? I am a big fan of movement-centric games that have an emphasis on flying/jumping mechanics. I'd prefer to play a game released in the past few months. I have been on this boomer-tier nostalgia binge for the past year and I need something completely new to break out of it. No more TF2, no more Metal Gear, no more Minecraft; just a completely new experience.

total war was good but can get boring with AI and broken mechanics

GMod i played for a few thousand hours and it was good but not to everyone's taste

It sounds like you'd like surfing maps in CS(GO).

Other than that, Monster Hunter World/Iceborne.

Warframe could be okay-ish, it's not super movement centric but it has a lot of it with the dodge-rolls and wallclimbing shit. There's even timed trials in some maps where you gtg fast which I assume could satisfy your autism. Other than that I don't think I know many shooties with jump mechanics that could satisfy your thirst for alqaedaing your feet.

Your friend has an autistic wishlist and they should trim it up. Even if you bought them every game, they wouldn't even play half of them. It's not sorted so I'm not gonna dig through it.
Factorio is good good.
Minecraft was mentioned, pretty good game, may wanna check it out.

XCOM 1 and 2 are good games, though I think the GoG version of XCOM 2 lacks multiplayer or something? idr , I played it singleplayer no prob with the dlc. I know steam workshop stuff can be made to work on the gog version.

Papers Please is autistic fun and very replayable
The Return of the Obra Dinn is not really replayable but is a gem of a game made by the same guy as Papers Please.

Superhot is fun, get it when it's cheap imo.

Since you're on GoG, lots of Good Old Games are there. I'm partial to the "imm sim" or whatever people decide to call the genre that is Thief, System Shock, Deus Ex, Arx Fatalis...

But just buy Factorio because you can play it together and it'll give him thousands of hours of content if he's properly autistic.
