Also me: *le sigh* Nvm...

Has it ever happened to someone where you mod a game and its suddenly really awesome now aaaaand...

You just kind of lose the desire to play it? Suddenly you just get tired/bored with it despite the fact you spent a good time modding the game to actually play it.

It can happen to any game with a dedicated modding scene, you install a bunch of shit, made sure it is all compatable and you just kind of stop there lol. I hate it but it happens over and over again

Literally like a week ago with OG Oblivion. Not heaps of mods, just a couple significant ones that do shit like overhaul it into using a traditional "get XP, level up, distribute points" system.

Then I get half an hour in, remember that actually I don't just hate Oblivion's levelling system, I also dislike interacting with NPCs, and going into cities altogether, and doing the actual quests themselves.... and now I've put myself off playing it again.

Happens with Fallout NV constantly as well. Install it, mod it for 2 hours, and then remember I don't actually like it that much.

Stellaris and Mechwarrior 5. Every time I finally get their mods finally working to where I want them, I just meh out.

Rimworld too, come to think of it, although I can spend hours and hours just chilling in Rimworld.

Happened most recently with Cyberpunk 2077 for me. It's actually part of the reason I don't really bother to mod Bethesda games very much anymore.

I continue to play Gray Zone Warfare, and it continues to be the best shooter I've played in ages. The reason it's more than just "Tarkov PVE" is the design is really focused around the PVE. They're constantly tweaking the AI and missions, and they do a good job of visual storytelling and building the scenario through the missions. Gunplay is fantastic. Autistic 19-year-olds can't shoot me in the head and shit on my corpse.
So it's discounted on Steam at the moment, and I am tempted to buy it, but I have some questions:

How is performance and optimization ? I've got a Ryzen 7 5800, GTX 3060Ti 8 GB and 32 GB RAM.

I see that there are different editions to buy. Is it like Tarkov where you get gear, money and stash space ? Does it make a big difference ?

Movement and gunplay similar to Tarkov or a bit different ?
