But you are a retard if you still use ZSNES in 2025, almost 20 years after its last update. SNES9X is just as old but is still updated and can play games fine that ZSNES can't (Earthworm Jim 2, Star Ocean, Mario RPG, etc.).

But to use ZSNES in the present day is just either being out of touch or having no standards.
There's a fork floating around that combines the core of Snes9X and the UI of ZSNES. It looks fabulous, and also doesnt run like ass.

Xkeeper comes of as beyond unhinged with his "I'm throwing you out a window" and "burning your house down and salting the earth with it" comments. Very obviously a psychopath and not even a particularly intelligent or charismatic one at that.
Particularly when the person they did it too seems to have been a long standing member. And what this is over, is really mild on their part. Just pure seethe from them.

A solid example of a Deltarune-deranged troon would be former KF jannie Meowthkip/Catbountry. That creature nowadays draws Spamton torture porn and demands asspats for it from her fellow pooners.
MK ended up an enby, I'm pretty sure, although we did have literal actual tranny jannies in the form of Feline Darkmage and KatsuKitty. Funnily enough, even our troons were less annoying than other sites, both were reasonably good mods and KatsuKitty in particular helped Null with the site a lot.

I finally started Hotline Miami. I must say, insanely fun game.

Honestly reminds me of that one Gosling movie, Drive. Hitman, loses his girl, quest for vengeance, cool jacket, great music, all-around 80s vibe. I dig it.
not to derail but if you get particularly into it i'd recommend checking out 2 eventually, with the caveat that generally the difficulty is upped and sometimes it feels more like in an unfair (enemies offscreen, occassional forced gimmicks) way, however it's similar to the first as a possible "zen" for lack of a better term game, where if you don't give up and seriously focus getting a chain or whatever, sometimes it just clicks, and then you hear the end of level ambience and wade through the carnage and it's kino

additionally has multiple characters with different gimmicks and difficulties which adds more replayability

The 'teens found something I literally never fucking knew in my life was linked on TCRF somewhere; this fucking nugget of a forum. Apparently, it's also used by X and co or adjacent to it.

And yes that is a 'teen online right now with this gay ass screenshot:

weird mid "as I'm writing this" post update: apparently the forum just killed itself (fitting, huh). Gives me a browser security error now.

this is the most weirdest gayest shit I will see today

do we know what actual gay bottoms think about all this weird transbian bullshit

also thanks random.txt

It's still hilarious to me that Sonic'06 was envisioned as a big tentpole major reboot of the franchise, that Sega somehow thought was okay to release as is. And let's be real: it was the anniversary game that Sonic deserved. A celebration of everything that makes the series (and it's fanbase) what it is. Unbridled autism, failure and incompetence.

snipping and posting the whole section here, just in case

Yeah it's a bit insane. It's designed to be these massive levels that the game wasn't really made to accommodate. Often times you'll find yourself spraying n praying in certain levels(Shoutout to the sewers) because enemies are so far away you can't see them coming even with the extra sight the Shift key provides, but the atmosphere, the music, everything about it from the title screen onwards just hits a certain mood that makes it one of my personal favorites.

NESticle legion, RISE UP

if I ever have children they will be only be given a DOS machine not hooked up to the Internet with NESticle and ZSNES and GENS with no phones and hopefully we'll be in a mountain cabin

if my son and daughter end up marrying each other it might be better than being exposed to this trooned out world at this point

Even for old romhacks that relied on its inaccuracies, in modern SNES emulators you can enable emulation hacks that emulate those inaccuracies, like writing the echo buffer to a separate buffer instead of shared ARAM, and allowing VRAM access when it usually shouldn't be allowed.
Oh, and don't forget that ZSNES has an ACE exploit that can be used to install malware just from a ROM.

The GUI is pure kino, nuff said.

I use ZMZ for my SNES needs. There's probably a better updated version if you're autistic and want to play romhacks with more accuracy. But if you ain't, then ZMZ is a great emulator that fixes all the inaccuracies of all official games that ran like crap before (games like Super Mario RPG and Kirby's Dream Land 3 for example)

To my knowledge there's been exactly one inaccuracy of modern emulation that ZSNES actually gets right; and it's that the SIDMANIA demo ROM works correctly there. It also works correctly on a real system but only via the old disk copiers. But that's also like a single homebrew compared to the metric fuck ton of official games.

e: ZMZ is fucking peak
