I'd call this whole story self explanatory really.

In a piss poor attempt at eliminating a medium-sized black market the government introduced strict new foreign currency laws, effectively banning the exchange of local currency for US dollars, Euros or British Sterling.

This has had a disastrous domino effect on the wider economy, with businesses unable to import and export vital goods and services, the economy has been slowly collapsing.

This has now begun to bite hard into the medical sector, with no ability to import much equipment and other necessities such as drugs Venezuela's hospitals are rapidly becoming a disaster zone.

This is in spite of the fact that the government of Maduro continues to spout out increasingly deluded statements and claims that Venezuela has a great healthcare system and isn't increasingly a bankrupted shithole that has run out of toilet paper, oil, and other basic necessities.

And the people fleeing in mass is not new, we are now considered a plague in Colombia and Brazil for certain incidents but heck no one want to live in a country where there is not even paper money and today you could not even use cards, the system died suddenly and did not work all day, debit and credit cards were useless and to add more salt there is a new business in town

Oh believe me, it's WORSE, much much worse and people prefer to risk their lives in those places that staying here with Maduro mocking all the country everyday, there was a "Negotiation table" between the left and the right sponsored by the Vatican, it was a tremendous disaster, the only thing they did was to cool the streets because the people was going to miraflores to protest, thank you pope you were a fucking great help

The US always goes through shit and will continue to do so, whether we like it or not - it won't be anywhere near as godawful as what Venezuela is fucking going through and continues to go through.

Socialism is just collective ownership of the means of production.
That's it. And unless you have a true A.I as in the Culture books, the collective command economy will be less efficient than the mixed one.

They're aren't socialist, they're just social democrat reformists with bigger dreams than most bourgeois states. If they were socialist they'd kill the ruling class undermining their country and kick out the imperialists. The sacrifices of the Bolivarian revolution will be destroyed if they don't go full Marxist. This is what revisionism does. Fighting back against AmeriKKKa and its puppets isn't wrong.
