So, @Cubanodun , now that Maduro has slashed five zeroes off the currency and linked the minimum wage to his magic cryptocurrency (the petro), everything should be okay, right? Right?

Remember, folks. Socialism kills.

JAJAJAJA hell no, the bolivar has devaluated like 60% since he asspulled that shit, not even the money the Chineses gave us is enough to pay all our debts, and we are not getting any better after Maduro went yesterday to the UN to bitch and moan about the meanie USA is fucking with us (wrong is fucking with INDIVIDUALS between his circle, only that this time his wife was added to the list) he was like a hour saying lies (he outright denied again and again that there is a emigrant crisis to start) and tried unsuccessfully to meet with the god emperor but he was shunned like a filthy peasant by the secret service , he was so butthurt that cancelled the press meeting

Venezuela drops US dollar, will use euro for international transactions

Venezuela is abandoning the US dollar, with all future transactions on the Venezuelan exchange market to be made in euro, Tareck El Aissami, the country's Vice President for Economy, announced.

Welp, Venezuela about to get invaded.

Dont worry this is not the first time, first they tried with Yuans but failed, after that they tried with Rupees and failed too, then they tried with their shitty crypto and failed for the surprise of no one, they are trying desperately to avoid the sanctions of the USA

How are they paying for it?

Remember those 32M $ that the UN gave us?

The hilarious part is that we have a treaty with the Russians to get us wheat but the shipments were arriving too late and people were complaining about not having bread

News story about an old man who fled from Spain to Venezuela to escape from Franco's Falangists and now has fled back to Spain in order to escape the Chavista commies. Should have stayed put!
Venezuelans have topped the list of asylum requests in Spain for three years, but only a tiny fraction are granted refugee status: just 15 out of 12,875 last year.
Ah, I see they're taking the Nippon Approach, where a buttload of refugees apply but they only let 30 people in.

The rest of south america is already regretting letting us him, because IT DOESN'T STOP i think Colombia has already 2 millions give it or take
Not sure how Brazil is doing but for us, it's such a big "buffer zone" that we don't get any riff raff (yet)... we're only getting the humble and really eager to work, who want to settle down and get ahead in their lives. One of my best friends came to Buenos Aires with his gf in '08-'09, he's among those in the "first wave" so to speak, he's doing pretty well for himself and adapted to the Argentinian way of life very quick.

https://colombiareports.com/colombi...ro-to-overthrow-venezuelas-government-report/

A top Colombian official told Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo that its government will support Brazilian’s far-right President-elect Jair Bolsonaro if he wants to overthrow the socialist government of Venezuela.

The mercenary groups used by narcos **And trained by Jews* are still a thing and they also have significant hold over the Colombian territories that are not main cities, case in point the EPL that is being used as a front by narco warlords in order to landgrab and are swelling in numbers by welcoming the Venezuelans that left ther country.

ELN was started by radical priests in the 60's (same time as FARC-EP) to help peasants after the period in Colombia called La Violencia where the liberal and conservative parties were rioting and shooting at each other. They've been playing second fiddle to the FARC for decades but since FARC turned into a political party two or three years ago, by now the group has devolved so much that they are no different than african gangs fighting over resources (drugs, gold, diamonds), by no means they retain capabilities for running a country and their leftist rhetoric was forsaken long ago, they just use "revolutionary" imagery to draw in the impressionable and then use them as slavers.

Keep in mind, there are Chavistas who have been given guns for Vietnam style fighting if there is some sort of invasion.

2 563 974 USD for the wheat alone

I am surprised anyone here knows how to do that math. We are fast approaching the most expensive time of the year to buy wheat from the northern hemisphere. Good to know socialists still can't comprehend capitalism.

Who is still dead, by the way.

Anyhow. Have a BBC video report on the whole mess. I'm a bit surprised the Beeboids let this through all things considered, what with being a bunch of comsymps these days. I wonder if I can find an actual Channel 4 News person saying this isn't real socialism - Matt Frei, probably, or Jon Snow.

EDIT: Sorry it's behind a paywall, but their latest master plan to escape the jackboot of Yanqui fascism and economic terrorism that has put them all into this utter mess is, yes, crpytocurrency. When you have to rely on crypto spergs to bail out your economy, you have failed as a government.

A Crypto that has already failed 3 times because people dont want it, Maduro has been trying to "incentive" to not say outright force people to use it, when the petro failed again he begin to do the same thing but by selling mini Gold bars, the problem is that if you try to buy gold or Petros you DONT receive any of them, you receive a certificate that you cant exchange for anything, is just a piece of paper with empty promises that MAYBE someday you will receive the goods so the "great plan for economic recovery" failed spectacularly in less than 2 months

Who at this point has the money to buy gold or petros at this point? Haven't the vast majority of savings been wiped out by inflation?

Venezuela needs to go into recievership.
