I have heard many stories of south american companies doing business in chavez's venezuela only to get scammed, their assets taken ("nationalized") and their own governments either too chickenshit to do anything or with commie elements who did nothing because they wish they could do the same there.

Long story short doing business with commies is a risky deal at best, and not just because of sanctions.

SanCor went from being THE biggest dairy products company in argentina to bankrupt thanks in part to selling milk to Venezuela in the 2000s, they were never paid and our then government did nothing (since they were buddies with Chavez and encouraged the deal).
