That support is contingent on some kind of return and Maduro is a baaaad investment. The only way to guarantee it wouldn't be throwing money away would be to demand control of key industries and get exemptions for them from national laws.

Which doesn't work because any investor knows a guy who is a proven socialist can wake up in the morning and say "Surprise nationalization of industry "X" for the people! Hit the road you bloodsucking capitalists!" and lose everything they put in, be they state or private actors.

It's how these dictatorial socialist systems work, from SA to Africa.... You encourage outside investment to bring your infrastructure up to modern standards, make a big deal about progress and the "new" way the continent will develop... run up your tab to the conglomerates, and then declare the investors traitors to communism, kick them out, and bask in comfort on the shiny new economy you got for free....

The trick is to convince them you aren't one of those guys, but Maduro has already done that, so he can't deny it. Ergo, he's a bad investment because he's on record as having run a ponzi scheme, not because his big idea for Florida swamp land looks suspect....

Thats one of the old tricks of Chavez, he liked to pretend that ALL South america was for some reason part of Venezuela, and this is part of the course with Maduro, every time some country says something mean to him he will call them names, like for example he was gloating when Peru suffered a political crisis and called them Nazis because they were discriminating against Venezuelans, the fact that Venezuelans are there because he is a terrible president flied over his head

Im verifying some information now but apparently the recents political crisis that is happening in Ecuador is some kind of stupid plan that Cuba and Maduro has to try to deflect the attention of the later, supposedly it was discovered that Maduro was behind the uprising this was more or less proved that after it was discovered the people that practically destroyed the capital for no reason now wants to go to talks

For context, like two weeks ago there were presidential elections on Bolivia and Evo tried the same playbook of Maduro, sadly he made TONS of mistakes but the fatal one was accepting a recounting and a audit by international organizations, the organizations sadly encountered that he cheated to hell and back and the people of Bolivia rised up without any kind of mercy, later all the branches of the military rebelled too and even the polices were with the protestors chanting "we dont want another venezuela here", after being pressed to death and knowing that in a new election he was going to lose badly the coward fled to Argentina and resigned

We lost Argentina but at least Bolivia is going to be spared our fate

His biggest mistake was to actually send their "colectivos masistas" to burn down our cities and kill the protestors, some few did die, our mountains caught fire as well as our plazas and flags but he provoked the wrath of the entire nation.

The downfall started with the police, when they revolted because Evo thought he could make them protect the colectivos and attack the people for a shitty payment of 3000 extra BO (probably hundred millions of boliviarianos) but they didn't take it like good dogs.

As you mentioned, we got merciless and this was the last straw, Evo forgot just how historically wrathful Bolivians are and now his 15 year old empire is crumbling down in a couple of days.

I believe you guys are still not too late for a real revolution.

1) Evo burned his term limits
2) Asked for a referendum to implement infinite reelections following the bullshit excuse that chavez did that "a good government should be going forever", he lost that referendum, badly
3) He ignored the results of the referendum and illegally went to elections
4) When he saw that was losing for a short margin he shutdown the counting system FOR 23 HOURS
5) When the system came back people noticed some bullshit numbers that did not match and called him on it (there was a particular case where 5 votes became 55)
6) The counting was not even over when he called himself winner, but the people protested and bitched at him
7) In a moment of clarity he called for a audit
8 ) Was discovered that he cheated badly

And you calling this a coup? you that your party want to remove Trump because you know you are not going to win in the next presidential election? JA

Bonus: the fucking coward did not even wanted to come here for asylum, i suppose not having uber is a big no no
