Always meant to make a thread for this one so I figure nows the last chance to do so, it'll be a good way to talk about it's final drama as well as the talents going forward. Currently it seems like they're going under though no official statement has been given many of the talents, including ex-talents have been tweeting about it.
The least vague message so far letting us know definitively something bad is happening.
Current talents active on personal accounts showing they probably aren't going to keep the rights to their characters.
This is especially bizarre since it's basically become common practice to relinquish the rights due to the fact that they aren't profitable to the company after closing down. I know Mivi dropped a lot of money for her original song and Rowa paid out of pocket as well for a highly detailed 2.0 model.
I mentioned this in the general right before you posted this:
Tomomi/Mimsie alluding to harassment from V&U corpo. I noticed once Tomomi's birthday merch shipped, she stopped streaming and posting, which makes me think she was never given her cut for it (and it was a nice merch drop too). Typical koreans trying to be tough and save face,

I didn't realize Rowa and Mivi paid out of pocket for their stuff. I knew Cerenity did for the stop motion but that's a donothon goal but fuck, at this point maybe she never even got that money. And Mivi's working two jobs now (likely due to not being paid her V&U stuff), Zeli/Goobi had to post that she needs money to pay for her immune disease medication to help her parents, Tomomi is canadian so she's always one day away from MAID.
They made a big deal about the graduation streams giving all the revenue to the talent for the past year, wonder if that was ever really the case. And then you had how Penelope Wiseman just graduated without any fanfare almost like what Tomomi and Zeli have been doing, at one point I wondered if it was actually still Lofi when she would speak sometimes for her final streams.
Is Legal Mindset Dicksucker lolcowing out somewhere or is he able to get any answers for this in korea?
No matter what happens, it would be nice if all the talents got back together under a better management. Let Liora/Limina let them into glitchstars.
I included those and Rowa's posts when I made it. I don't think mimsie/tomomi is talking about vnu though. I think she still gets some haters from that drama she had a ways back with Rima.

It's been a while, Zeli/Goobi kept posting video memes about Total Corpo Death with one implying the V&U owner might have just bailed completely without telling the parent company, but Ciccino/Ramu is saying she might get the rights to her character. If so, this is something to alleviate not getting paid:
Was just coming to post this. I'm wondering if those who paid for the second model own those maybe. Or maybe negotiations just settled and they're keeping their characters.
From Zeli/Goobi's recent movie posts, it seems V&U is trying to make a statement blaming the talent just to attract the drive by audience who wouldn't remember the past drama with the company, and she makes a point that 64% of her subscribers under Zeli's name were botted. Bot subs aren't surprising, they didn't really do that with Gen 1 and 2 but it was pretty obvious with some of 3 and some of 4, 5 seemed to not do that, I always was skeptical of how Maeve got 100k subs really fast.
