my basic rationale:
  • many people who use this website are ridiculously good at finding out the identity of others​
  • I don't see a reason to use a fake name if people will eventually call me by my real name​
  • so, why not just skip the drama and use the real name from the start?​
 
My momma gave me the name Soup Sammiches because of how effortlessly I can fuck up anything.

Also you can't tell me what to do, etc.
 
while my real name isnt amateur professional lurk, it is a nick name that i always go by, so it basically is my real name.

Yeah, there is no problem with using you're real name here - I do. It's just a shame my parents named me this way... I mean, I know I'm a giraffe so why do I have to be reminded every time I sign a check? The fact I have to look 8 feet down to do so is reminder enough. It gets worse though - the G in G. Raff is for Giraffe, making my name Giraffe Raff which causes the funny initial use to be the less embarrassing option. One of these days I'll follow through with my plan of changing my name to O. Possum, a very regular name with no weird connotations.
