Biden kept Trump's tariffs, and even expanded tariffs on Chinese EVs. You won't find a single one of these people who cared. Its not about being consistent or say anything about it. Its all about throwing anything they can, at the wall, and hoping it sticks.

They never want to talk about the tariff regime that started just before the civil war and kept going until 1913 because it majorly contributed to turning the US into an industrial powerhouse
Basically tariffs work if domestic demand is strong. Domestic demand was strong almost all the time from 1860-1913, it was strong in Trump's presidency until coof, it wasn't strong in 1930, etc.
