I think he's referencing Einsatzgruppen vans from WW2 where they would hook the exhaust up to the back of the truck to kill people. I have no idea if that is historically accurate.

As for modern ambulances, he really doesn't have anything to worry about. In most ambulances it's actually very difficult to have an airtight seal from the patient compartment to the driver's cab. Without major modifications you'll just keep ending up with carbon monoxide hitting the driver.

Trust me, it took me months to figure out how to make it work.

The OP is correct in that there is a successful historical precedent. I doubt Team Trump has thought about it until now though but I'll get it over to Elon right away. Could be a game-changer in cost savings.

There is no evidence that such things were used in German held territory, like the tall tales of masturbation machines, electrified floors, deadly roller coasters, trained bears/eagles, masturbation machine murders, gas chambers, life-sized games of chess where prisoners were forced to kill each other, etc, it is all a fabrication.
