Special elections take time. 217 - 217 means no Republican speaker for a month or two. Just earlier this year people were bemoaning how McCarthy taking his ball and going home fucked some votes over.

The point I am making isnt dont choose Gaetz, but geez dude get the Republican speaker installed first. Retire after your appointment hits at least.

Others have long ago. It's because it is a complete dickslap to the process, the procedure, the decorum and grace of the Senate, and all that bullshit. Trump doesn't care about such traditions.

I think he’ll do it. Bill Clinton did pardon his brother on his last day.

We’re all betting on Trump doing it because they might have made a deal. However, it’d be pretty funny if Biden pardons Hunter and the Jan 6 protestors.

It's a go on Gaetz. Trump will pull out the Nuclear Recess Appointment option if he's blocked from moving out of his Hill office into the DOJ headquarters across the street.

There is no way Team Trump can talk like this unless they have every intention of forcing a Congressional recess.

I'd absolute love it if Trump made a deal to pardon Hunter, but Biden pardons all of the J6 defendants. If Joe's in the mood to make the Democrats seethe even more, I can't think of too many things that would do so more than this. Biden doing it would cause a lot of waves, but it's probably good for his longterm legacy and it even lets him steal some thunder from Trump by doing something he was going to do anyway.

It's only a cuck move if he doesn't free the J6 protesters, it would be a symbolic gesture to symbolize no bad blood and all that. Part of being a politician is working with other people, plus if it was Trump that did it, it would cause Democrats to seethe because they can't have Orange Man "be on the right side of history".

Biden's pissed at the establishment for what is essentially a coup and then Kamala dropped the ball when it came to the election. The problem is that even history written from an anti-Trump perspective will paint him as a weak ruler and doddering old fool as is, who doesn't need "coerced into pardoning the insurrectionists" added.
 
If they're cucking the Senate with the potential recess appointment option, then why are they still going with the RINO/neocon-esque appointments? Can't they just go all MAGA with the appointments and tell the Senate to suck their dicks?

These appointments have me worried about some wine aunts I know. Part of me really wants to rub it all in at Thanksgiving dinner, but my wife will get mad if I'm an asshole on purpose.
