Yeah people are dropping good animal fats now because of decades of food pyramid and shitty diet fads etc, but it's been a staple for a fucking reason. Empty carbs are the real plague

edit : there's also a reason bacon is so proeminent in sausages, really helps to get some good shit out of dry-ish meats. I hunt with my dad, and moose is (imo) pretty middling without something to help it. moose bacon cheese sausages are delicious and they old for months sous-vide.

I am a big lima bean(also known as butter beans the beans with the butter on them) fan but really all beans are good and the more you eat them the better your body tolerates them.
