I doubt that even the most jaded public defenders would intentionally give a client bad advice. The type of lawyers (someone like Avenatti) who might do something like that aren't going to work as public defenders because the pay is shit. Any judge the caught a whiff of something like that happening would come down incredibly hard on the lawyer and they'd face other consequences as well.

Not that they even need to go out of their way to give bad advice to being with. Some public defenders who have been candid when talking about the position have said it doesn't really matter what advice you give some defendants because they're not going to listen to a single word of it. There are some people who just can't stop fucking up no matter how much anyone else tries to help them.

Why do we need to use nuclear power when we have an abundance of natural gas, coal, and oil under our feet? Europe is small and doesn’t have that benefit, so they had to go nuclear. America going nuclear is just an insane agenda by global warming fanatics.
 
Can you imagine the shitshow we'd be in now if Nixon got his way with thousands of nuclear reactors. You need a collective average IQ of 115 societal speaking to begin to have a workforce capable of maintaining nuclear reactors much less build them. US is what? 96 and shrinking as we speak?

I think the professional realm has crossed a dangerous threshold. Typically, a field can trend upward if they promote incompetence OR people who play politics. The non-retards could co-habitiate at the bottom of middle of the totem pole. Now it's overcrowded with incompetent people who play politics and the non-retards are filtered out. I love it.

Congratulations, you just figured out the primary argument against nuclear power: People are too stupid to handle so many nuclear reactors at once. It's a lovely idea, infinite, clean energy and whatnot but the reality is that human beings are flawed. We'd have a meltdown every 2 years.

Every couple of years some random guy manages to steal $50-100 million from the Pentagon just by sending them random fake invoices that they sign without even looking at them.

This kind of thing is actually pretty common and is a sign that the government has gotten way way too loose and comfortable with frivolous waste of taxpayer money.
