Lets look at sources currently used for the citations in the article on the shooter:
1) USA Today
2) NBC News
3) US News and World Report
4) Reuters
5) New York Times
6) BBC
7) CBS News
8) The Telegraph (Newspaper)

Wikipedia, by design, simply reflects the consensus views of the mainstream media whose views reflect whatever the US government's official view of a situation is. Its a dumb news aggregator with a layer of editors who further self-censor the articles until there is no value in them whatsoever.

This is exactly right. They can’t just see a guy shimmying on a roof and blow him away. It could be some low IQ supporter just wanting to get and epic Tik Tok vid.

But the idea that they have to wait for someone to fire before they engage is false. It makes sense to people because all threats tend to get the shot off. Just like with Reagan, he was shot at first and SS reacted.

However, SS neutralizes targets all of the time. They just don’t usually end in death. If you go through Getty Images you can find SS tackling and arresting people. You can find people trying to break through the vehicle barriers and neutralized. Etc.

The fact of the matter is that most of their actions (when they matter) are reactive.

If you’re unarmed and not using a vehicle for destruction, you’ll likely just be arrested. If this guy hopped the fence with a rifle they would’ve just downed him.

2. They no longer have to force him to step down

No. Trump turned his head just at the right point. If he didn't turn his head, it would have a been a kill shot. The guy got off eight shots before the counter-snipers took him down.
