Its the other way around, Unions popped up from a rising middle class and was managed by that middle class.
Unions today are no longer managed by their workers just more government nepo babies that settle for deals that hurt their members. The actual good unions could probably be counted with your fingers

Preaching about auto industries coming back into America isn't exactly a "win" since several manufacturers are implementing abrasive technological measures INTO cars which will drive up maintenance costs and remove direct ownership from the driver/owner.
