-Don't interfere in GOP primaries (this is apparently the biggest one right now)So what are the MAGA demands that mccarthy is waffling on?
He has the most votes but he doesn't have a majority of the House voting for him, which is what he needs to become majority speaker. There's 434 members of the House, so ordinarily you'd need 218 votes to become majority Speaker.Explain like I’m a retard, why doesn’t Jeffries get the speakership because he has the most votes?
"Oh no, members of a political party actually standing up for something. How terrible."
You see, this is why I’m so white-pilled about the future of Red States. Red States are generally self-sufficient, so they don’t absolutely require the fed.-Don't interfere in GOP primaries (this is apparently the biggest one right now)

And now this lolbertarian cocksucker from Michigan who voted to impeach Trump the first time is now wading around outside, wanting to be invited in

A skilled conniving plotter he is not. It is amazing he was ever considered a viable political leader in the first place. Then again that was probably decided by some backroom dealings and not by any actual proof of competence.McCarthy just seems like a dumb motherfucker and this is funny to watch.
For them, party affiliation is everything. They simply cannot comprehend the idea that conservatives might be cheering on something that is actively detrimental to the Republican Party, because what’s bad for the Republican Party is good for the average American conservative."Oh no, members of a political party actually standing up for something. How terrible."
The Democrat Party member say with the Congressional Progressive Caucus on a tight leash, which he is part of.
That would be great but don't be surprised if Jeffries or McCarthy win, and everything continues on as normal. It's amazing how it took just a few politicians getting out of the lockstep with the Neoconservative part of the Republican Party for the words "infidel" and comparisons to "terrorists" get tossed around. The longer this goes on it is made abundantly clear who is seen by some of the GOP as the "real" enemy and who isn't to the general public. I hope if the uniparty does somehow stop this, they will have to show their entire hand to the country.
Secession. And lmao the fed covers blue states' deficits so the red states are always going to end up paying into the blue ones. This is actually a pathway to peaceful succession. Self-sufficient states with thrive and shitholes that only exist because of gibs will implode.
Likewise conservatives seemingly can't comprehend that people such as myself view voting for a party so corrupt it handicapped it's own midterm chances in order to oust populist candidates as abominable as voting for their nominal opposition. They simply cannot comprehend the idea that conservatives might be cheering on something that is actively detrimental to the Republican Party, because what’s bad for the Republican Party is good for the average American conservative.
Oh, that man would be a fucking riot if he got put in charge.
He has no seniority, no experience, and as a result no real power, making him one giant puppet.Hakeem Sekou Jeffries (/ˌhɑːˈkiːm/; born August 4, 1970) is an American politician and attorney who is the leader of the House Democratic Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives. Jeffries has represented New York's 8th congressional district, anchored in southern and eastern Brooklyn since 2013.
Before his election to Congress in 2012, Jeffries served three terms in the New York State Assembly, representing the 57th district, and worked as a corporate lawyer. He has chaired the House Democratic Caucus since 2019, and was elected unopposed to succeed Nancy Pelosi as its leader in November 2022. In 2023, Jeffries was the Democratic Caucus nominee for Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.
The Democrats not actually having their own guy in charge, and the highly likely possibility that forcing McCarthy into power just unites the Republicans against him and the Democrats. One vote of no confidence later and next thing you know the GOP has put Jim Jeffries in charge out of spite. What am I missing?
In what universe would the Californias and New York Cities of the world, who are utterly reliant on sucking away resources from other, more prosperous states, allow those host bodies to escape their grasp? There's no way.You see, this is why I’m so white-pilled about the future of Red States. Red States are generally self-sufficient, so they don’t absolutely require the fed.
We’re going to get more and more belligerent politicians in the fed as time goes on, making the most basic, reasonable demands and having the power to completely shut down the fed if the demands aren’t met. Every day the fed is shut down is a victory anyway.
This is actually a pathway to peaceful succession. Self-sufficient states with thrive and shitholes that only exist because of gibs will implode.
There's another, they want the ability for a single member to call for the ousting of the Speaker. McCarthy is apparently refusing to budge from his first offer of needing five members.-Don't interfere in GOP primaries (this is apparently the biggest one right now)

Going off the stuff I've seen, I think McCarthy thought he could browbeat the Freedom Caucus into voting for him in round two after a protest vote, which was a really stupid move to make.I am looking forward to our resident analyst to deconstruct who fucked up and where in all this. New years getting off to a good start.
I look forward to the Republicans cucking so hard that Pelosi ends up in charge again.
I'm not counting my chicken until it hatches and Nancy is gone.
Her replacement within the House Dems is likely to be Hakeem Jeffries, who amusingly enough is an enemy of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. So her life isn't getting any easier!
It is clear McCarthy thought of everything but how to make a reasonable path for him to win. He even moved into the "speaker suite" without securing enough votes to get him there in the first place last night.Going off the stuff I've seen, I think McCarthy thought he could browbeat the Freedom Caucus into voting for him in round two after a protest vote, which was a really stupid move to make.
Secession. And lmao the fed covers blue states' deficits so the red states are always going to end up paying into the blue ones.
Also lmao at the idea of a peaceful secession. That isn't nor ever was an option, you don't "peacefully" leave a domineering abusive psychopath in an interpersonal relationship, let alone when they're the makeup of your government.
I definitely agree that it’s optimistic to think that we’re going to get out of this completely peacefully but all the ingredients are president for an effective resistance against the antichrist. In what universe would the Californias and New York Cities of the world, who are utterly reliant on sucking away resources from other, more prosperous states, allow those host bodies to escape their grasp? There's no way.
The "populist" if you want to call it that, section of the DNC voter base has been well-heeled so they don't have to worry about it on that end, while the populist movement that's been trying to take over the GOP is still alive and kicking. The neo-cons and neo-libs that head both parties, and make up the majority of current federal-level politicians, are globalists, and as such don't want any actual political endeavors that would seek to bring us closer to nationalism and nationalist policies. What am I missing?
Well going by how things are progressing pretty soon you're going to see a bigass mask-off moment of some form or fashion for the GOP. As it's been made clear they won't tolerate or accept people who aren't in on the grift. As far as requiring a constitutional amendment I'll refer to the entirety of COVID as to why that's optimistic as all get-out.Congress currently has the power of the purse and changing that requires a constitutional amendment (good luck with that, lol). The uniparty has the DNC under their complete control but the more they tighten their grip on republicans, the more they seem to lose control. (Which might finally inspire the thoroughly buck-broken Bernie bros and unruly progressives). Congress is going to devolve into an impotent shitshow punctuated by long shutdowns very soon.
