Has Biden been to Alabama yet or is that this week? I remember seeing it on Boomerbook and most of the reacts were the laughing emoji.

They say Methodists are "watered down Catholics" but if you're Episcopal you might as well not even be Christian. I don't know if all Episcs are like this but I heard of one church doing a fundraiser for an abortion clinic.

Arizona recently refurbished their gas chamber and plan to use it again (soon). Actually, the condemned is given a choice of gas or the drug cocktail. However, the gas isn't inert. It's cyanide. But there are less issues and cost with producing it than the current stalemate and refusals by the drug manufacturers to supply the phenobarbital used in the drug cocktail.

In practice, it has become a speaking permission badge.

I used to go to a card shop 15 minutes away from my house to hang out with my friends like 4 times a week, but now due to grocery prices and gas prices we can only afford to go 1-2 at most.

I certainly have some constructive criticism for this administration.

My recollection is that there are some Episcopal groups that are okay, but the main part of the denomination are very much of the "we want to be loved by the World (and its master), Jesus is icky and too hard to follow" variety.

Twitter verification isn't a measure of noteworthiness and/or the level of risk of impersonation you experience, it's the degree to which you're willing to send twitter a pic of your driver's license, provided they don't hate you.

Classic pressganging tactic tbh, issue an ultimatum with a line of extortion. It works out either way from the journoscum perspective - if the victim bends they have an angle they can push to both discredit them among their peers and push for more for their own side, if the victim doesn't notice they can claim "well, they didn't respond so we can only PRESUME X does Y, or if the victim (sometimes preferably) fights back they can act like they themselves (the journorat) are a Pulitzer deserving investigative journalist who fought tooth and nail for every scrap of info they produce.

It's such a laughably scummy tactic that it used to be a TV trope to play up a particularly nasty character as a cutthroat who would do or say anything to get ahead. Now it's apparently SOP taught to journofags fresh out of their liberal arts haven.

Tbf they've been grooming (and not in the sexual way, for a change!) this one to replace Psaki for a while. They even let her try her hand during the Afghanistan bullshit for a very brief bit but that turned out to be laughably dumb, which was understandable considering she had basically zero experience.
