Its a pain point, but it's also a perfect tee up for him to go into a campaign pitch. Something any competent politician should be able to do. But we all know that would be expecting too much.

Oh, I agree. It wasn't the right response at all, but he *was* on a hot mic and not actually responding to be fair.

The whole thing is worth mockery to be sure, but the sarcastic remark in and of itself wasn't exactly a dementia moment. Not realizing the mic was on was though.

I grew up watching my grandfather yell at the people on the TV news. My grandmother would shout at him to calm down "They can't hear you, they'll never hear you!". 30 years later and now they can hear us, and they are incapable of listening.

In fact there's a lot of troons on SA who want it gone for making fun of them.
