I attended a Trump rally in 2016 and was shocked at how lax the security was; it's harder to sneak food into the movie theater. I was genuinely surprised an incident like this didn't happen back in 2016. A true miracle it's taken this long for someone to take a shot at him, and a true miracle his injuries aren't worse.

Others who have gone to Trump rallies have said the security has been intense recently. I wonder, since the shooter apparently fired from a roof, could he have climbed onto that roof and camped out for a couple days before the event? The SS may not have anticipated such a trick.
