Well you have to keep in mind that Obama lied through his teeth big time when he first ran. He didn't sound unreasonable at all to a normie in 2008 but as soon as Obama actually got into office he changed his tune into the fucker we know today. It was a huge betrayal that many people predicted but when the opposite choice is fucking John McCain, people took their chances with Obama. Not to mention that George W pretty much made the Republicans un-electable because he was such a malicious retard, Obama just didn't seem that bad back then.
