Just in time for Christmas.
This is something I'd take to work and use for a week just as an autism radar.

Just in time for Christmas.
I just find people who have to talk about how "nerdy" they are at all and actually make it a part of their identity is really annoying, it's like that weird kid back in middle school who tried too hard to be different but everyone just made fun of them
I mean I see the LGBT thing vs the Nerdy thing as different, as LGBT is an identity, but the whole nerd thing encompasses many hobbies and interests, so it would provide a lot more discussion. I see "nerdy" as a group of hobbies or interests, rather than an identity. It'd be more interesting to talk about a wide variety of things than just being gay or trans or whatever, there's no discussion from someone saying that. Like what am I supposed to do with that information. There's no conversation.Anyone who makes something so fucking trivial the biggest part of their personality is someone to avoid. It's like the LGBT people on tumblr. It's not only them being so boring of a person they have to make that one thing the biggest part of their personality and all they talk about (which just makes me think they're an autist), it's also the fact that they think people will care that much about this one thing taking over their life. There's only so much you can talk at someone before they get pissed off and/or don't want to be around you.

But yeah I understand I was talking about people who make it their ENTIRE identity, like what the Big Bang Theory is trying to portray, where it's their life 24/7. They have to let everyone know, omg I'm so different and very smart!!
They have an entire running gag on just Sheldon knockingThe biggest beef I have with TBBT is the fucking laugh tracks after references, like the characters making references is funny somehow...? Like "lol nerds they made a reference what dorks" or something? How the fuck has this show been going for 11 seasons?
How is this show still on Television
Because he’s AUTISTIC!! (insert laugh track)
I get that they're different, my point was that someone being LGBT shouldn't be everything about them, just as much as hobbies and interests shouldn't be everything about someone. If I told my friends how much of a faggot I am every time I opened my mouth, they'd not be my friends for very long. I get if someone's into something really heavily, most people have something they like more than other interests. But if they start having a one sided conversation about something you two have no common ground on, then it gets annoying.
The big bang theory is a whole new can of worms my dude, I know people who are like that where an interest is near enough taking over their lives. If you know someone like that you probably see where I'm coming from when i say that sometimes you really want to sit said person down and tell them that they should branch out a bit. How that's comedy gold that spans 11 seasons I will never know. It's annoying as all hell.

I'm not sure why people get quite so angry over this. It's a bad TV show, but there have been lots of those over the years, and a bad TV show is hardly something to rage about unless you're one of those autistic TGWTG critics. I think people are just getting triggered that things they like are being made fun of.
It's a successful bad TV show, though.
But you know, frankly, there are other, better things to get mad about. You don't need to watch it. You can just ignore it and it'll never really have to cross your mind again.
Oh fuck, this bitch. I liked her cartoons for a while but she's really obnoxious with politics, and the whole Tumblr kind of enjoyment that she portrays in her videos is just really fucking creepy.
I'm not so much angry, just disappointed.Because some people still watch it.

Should we move it to Salt Mine, label it Locally Sourced and call it a day?At this point i'm not even sure if this thread is about "fake nerds" or about people who get irrationally upset over "fake nerds".

You shouldn't be finding it entertaining :p Why not try to help those that base who they are around how they're perceived by others. The world can't improve if people are always burning it.Personally, I think the latter are far more entertaining.
