Not too long ago, Christopher Wylie blew the whistle on how Cambridge Analytica used data mining on Facebook's platform to influence the US's election. Facebook allowed Cambridge Analytica to collect user's data and according to multiple sources, they targeted those who were more likely to vote for Democrats than Republicans in certain swing states.

How powerful are the people backing Cambridge Analytica? I find it odd that I know more about the nefarious companies and organizations that I dislike, rather than those who seem to align with me.
